Does anybody else agree with me that the Buccaneers best paintscheme has to be the Desert cam from Gulf War 1?

Ours is in Desert scheme at the moment, but during the next year/18 months, we are looking to go back to 16Sqn colours, circa 1976/7, one of the first squadrons that she was assigned to.

Am still after a pair of type 100A Inverter link cables; short cables with an identical ‘female pinned plug’ on each end that link the inverter Motor/Alternator unit to the attached controller.

Aaarrrrgghhhh, I have done some spares recovery in the last few weeks and severed straight though some, I will keep an eye out for you.

Dunno why I havent paid more attention to this thread!

I’ve got a lot of stuff that will suit Canberra – instrument and electrical, along with hydraulic stuff, wheels and so on.

    No nav hatch though 🙁

    Bruce

Did you have any joy with my Inverter request Bruce?

Pure Lightning – can I ask, from just outside Basingstoke, large house, barns etc? I only ask as I helped my father in law deliver there last year, there was a Canberra cockpit section in an out building, with a Trident cockpit section as well.

The Trident has been gone for sometime, remaining Canberra section is off to pastures new within the next week.

I was hoping for a report of a physical sighting of the aircraft.

    Planemike

Anybody able to confirm that it is at Widmerpool, Nottinghamshire, as it was last noted as being there in 2003/4.

RAF Kemble undertook lots of scrapping during the period after WW2, most notably was that, most, if not, all, of the Westland Whirlwind’s were done to death there.

    eh? just the wing.

Milt, we have discussed this at length before, and it is more than possible to transport the wings complete (less the leading edge) as long as they are canted to a certain angle.

on your own or with a 10 strong team? :p

Just four of us, 2 labourers, crane operator and truckie, infact, you could do it with three of you if the truck had a hiab/crane attached to it.

i think the problem for this listing, is realistically sorting out a team to dismantle and transport the aircraft in the time given, would be nice though 🙂

Meteors are a doddle to dismantle and transport, if you cannot do it in a day then your not trying, honest ;).

Thanks for the info chaps, I went out to my overfilled garage and luckily enough, the manual I require was on the AP racking,

Bruce, what are the chances that you’ll have a Clock, two Oil Pressure Gauges and an U/C Position Indicator to fit this panel?
