The other airport in Brussels is called National or Zaventem it is the main airport for Brussels and Belgian. I had a sandwich from the snack trolley, it was ok, cost about £2.50.

It would have been in the early 70s and it was on a Dan-Air Comet 4 from Gatwick to Palma.

Yes I saw two Jetmagic aircraft, they have quite a growing network. Will be seeing them in Liverpool in September as well.

Great to hear Exeter may get a new service with VLM up to London City. Was there last summer, really liked Exeter Airport had a real holiday feel, like you’ve arrived at the English Riviera ! With more interest in UK holidays, hopefully the route should do well.

Incidentally I have also heard VLM have looked at Manchester-Newquay.

What was interesting while I was waiting at Cork Airport, was seeing a CSA 737-500 arrive from Prague, it overnights then heads back the following morning.

Actually Im not too keen on Cork airport, the baggage claim was unbelievably slow and the facilities are poor for quite a busy airport. However improvments are on the way as I saw a model in the terminal of what wil be !

Im not sure when service starts, im going on 19 Dec, flight departs LGW at 1100hrs arr SYD 1940 following day. Return times leave SYD at 2240hrs arriving LGW 10.40 following day. The flight stops at Colombo out and back .

I have just looked at my confirmation, its called European Deluxe class its at the front of the plane, premium economy is upstairs. They have also given me 40kg baggage allowance !

I always thought the B720 was a funny plane, I guess Monarch must have got them at a good price, Air Malta had some as well.

It is a shame to see the end of it regularly flying, it was a good little plane.
