Really wouldn’t fancy flying a 757 trans-atlantic. Flew with them last year on the 330 to Washington then onwards to New Orleans with UA, travelled in “New Economy” which was very good. I understand that the up-grade economy cabin wont be available on the 757.

No, I know its not a bmi baby service operated by Air Wales just thought people would find it of interest.
I flew on them once from Cardiff to London City, shame that route didn’t work for them.
I had business recently in Cardiff for the day and planned to use the Liverpool to Cardiff link, the drive takes for ever as does the train, but the times were no good for me.

I here Air Wales are doing quite well on their Cardiff- Liverpool – Aberdeen service, however their punctuality is not always to hot !

I flew with bmi in September to th U.S to New Orleans via Washington and returning from Las Vegas via Chicago. I thought they were very good, I flew their “new economy” which give better leg room. However wouldn’t have been very keen on flying a 757 transatlantic.

I have read that FlyBE are very please with their new ex-Liverpol routes and plan to add more destinations soon.

When Easyjet offered Liverpool-Luton, it was popular, in fact I used it quite a bit and couldnt always get on, sometimes also fares were quite high (as the flight was nearly full) however I think many people from the Northwest don’t think of Luton as a London airport, and im not sure if many business travellers liked it. The train from Luton Airport Parkway in the mornings is packed, after getting up at the crack of dawn to catch an 0600 from Liverpool, you really want a more relaxing transfer into central London. I used the 757 Greenline bus a few times which was quite comfortable, but then you are on the M1 !
VLM offers a much better service to London from Liverpool now, and their on-time performance is good, Easyjets on LPL-LTN was debatable. I also remember they were moaning about landing charge increases at Luton at the time.
