It’s in Macdonalds Floatplanes. Well spotted. Hadn’t thought to look at floatplanes.

I think you’re referring to the B 3, or JU86 as most know it.
http://www.flygvapenmuseum.se/sv/Foremal–Fakta/Foremal/Flygplan/Utstallda/Flygplan-mellankrigstiden/B-3/There’s no Do17 or JU88 in Linköping,
Or perhaps the very Dornier looking Saab B18.

For post 3156. Chicago Midwest X, and I doubt it had anything to do with the Hengist .
BTW these requests really should be posted as a separate question and not in Wot plane.
Cheers

I thought most beaching gear used ground equipment road wheels and tyres.

The Icelandic tail wheel isn’t inflated! The Hudson wheel shewn has a similar narrow contact area.

The nose is similar to the Dewoitine 720.

This photo is between April 1939 and September 1939. The codes were then changed to NV.

Yes the targets are WW1 Fokker D VII’s. The last time I saw public gun firing was at Newton in 1954 with Meteors firing 20mm’s.

It’s the origin of the Spitfire….. and the clue is Noel.

This Kite was at Neteravon in the very early 60’s

I didn’t read all of that article but found some parts were a bit sour grapes to say the least. I think the author was american. All servicemen were required to state their religion (or agnostic)and this appeared on ones documents and “dog tags”. The ones claiming Agnostic to get off church parades usually ended doing cookhouse duties. Unless one conformed to ones religion ridgidly most of their comrades wouldn’t know or care what one’s religion was. I can also not blame any Jewish serviceman for not wanting his religion known if he was in danger of falling into German hands, so there must be many circumstances where Jewish endeavor wasn’t recorded as such.
Society was different then and one shouldn’t judge it through modern eyes. The officer class was bad enough still from the sixties through to the eighties.
The single Israeli listed at the end of the B of B film is probably that he came from British Mandated Palestine and not a UK national of Jewish origins and for modern audiences Israel was shown as the country.

I think the cars are A Renault Fregate and a 750, so I could be the French end of the air bridge. Deauville?

It’s a Briegleb DG12D, USA.
Sorry fleeting visit. So Open House.

There was no Venom there by 1960. The two resident squadrons were 12 and 9 both with B.6’s having moved in from Binbrook a couple of years previously.
