Steve spot on, although in recent weeks they have been trying to transfer ownership to the companies biggest customer.

Would be a nice Middle Eastern coup for Skyteam, I know Beirut is doing extremely well as a Middle Eastern “hub” and MEAs fleet renewal programme has been quite extensive.
I assume that they are a nationalised airline, but how well do they operate compared with the other big players in the region?

Bmused touched on it a bit there but the only company I have ever flown on that refused me entry to the cockpit on the GROUND was EZY, as the plane was due out in 20 minutes and they didn’t want to hold it up.

BA are the best in my opinion, all bar one of the flight crew I have spoken to has been enthusiastic to let me in, the one that wasn’t enthusiastic about it and up for an in depth chat still let me in anyway 😀

Well the stories are coming out on pprune thick and fast now, I assume we won’t know the exact business set up and what it really was that lead people to think EAL has “gone bust” whatever they mean by that, until tomorrow morning when the employees get informed of the true picture by management.

Hmm, that last bit doesn’t sound right 😀

ALN would be an IATA code, at the risk of sounding too similar to Allen, ALEN would be a more appropriate ICAO code for it, or even more appropriatly it should begin with a K as all US fields do, so maybe KALN.

Hmm, now why did Key decide to omit a geeky faced smiley?

Its not a 100% no no, but the only way you can really do it is if you get a very sympathetic crew (By this I mean being offerred the seat NOT asking for it) or if you know the captain.

Air Atlanta have been doing the hungry circling vulture for a few days now, assume that they will take over the flights.

She is also a great asset to our tourism industry too. The number of people that come over to see Buckingham Palace in the hope of seeing “The Queen of England” is quite immense.
Try going up there once in a while and see how close you can get without a Japanese tourist barging you out of the way
