Not one of mine alas, I don’t have the skill or the patience, but the work of Mr Nigel Perren for a display at the museum.
It depicts Bf109E-1 WerkNr 5175 of 7/JG53 flown by Uffz Ernst Poschenrieder which force-landed at Strood, Kent, on the 30th September 1940.
I’ve also included a photo of the real thing for comparison.

You wont find it on any map, but if you’ve been to Hendon on the Northern Line, its between Golders Green and Hampstead.
Some while ago there was a plan to make our railway line (the Bexleyheath line) part of the Jubilee line extension before it got routed to Stratford 😡
I’m off to remove my anorak and watch one of my many London Underground driver’s eye videos, or shall I read one of my books on disused London Underground stations? 😎
BTW the new series of ‘ISIHAC’ starts on Monday 29th November 😀 🙂 😀 🙂 😀 🙂

We’ve not had any knock on our door for the last three years (inc last night). It seems that in our road they only go to the houses of people they know, and there always seems to be a parent with them. we did have one of those ‘No trick or treat here please’ notices on the door just in case.

There was an un-official patch issued for the landbase HMS Cormorant with the wording ‘A Shag’s a Shag unless it’s a Cormorant’. I can’t remember what the image was on it, but I expect it was something ‘suitable’.

By the way, there is an evening devoted to ‘Hancock’s Half hour’ on Radio 2 Tuesday (2nd Nov) from 7pm to 10pm, featuring two episodes, including the first broadcast on 2nd November 1954, and several ‘documentaries’.
There’s also a programme on Radio four the same day, 11.30 am to 12am on those who also appeared in the show, Sid James etc.
