Well, you could try The Shoreham Aircraft Museum 🙂 We’re only little, but as they say size doesn’t count, & you’ll be amazed at what you’ll find on display. No aircraft, but relics from our many excavations, ‘souvineered in 1940’ items donated to us, uniforms, Home front memorabilia & much more. Not to mention our world famous tearoom.
We open for the 2004 season on Easter Sunday, 11th April & will then be open every Sunday until the end of September. I can be found there, helping to run the museum every third Sunday, so let me know if/when you’re going to pop in. You can see our website at http://www.shoreham-aircraft-museum.co.uk and also try the FlyPast issues Sept & November 2003.
We also have nearby, at the airfield, the famous Biggin Hill Chapel.
