Grey Area- The point Im getting at is you said atheism is a religous belief, which implys a will to believe you are correct against those who appose your belief. So I dont think you have to be anit-god or anti-religion to be athiest.
I disagree, Viper.
Atheism is not an absence of belief, it is actually a belief that there is no such thing as a superior being or beings.
In the absence of certainties, all religious positions are a matter of faith and atheism is every bit as much a religious position as any other belief..
I disagree Grey Area, I dont think you have to be against the belief in god to be an athiest. I dont believe in the Loch Ness monster, but dont feel any need to actively uphold my position against those who do believe in it. I wouldnt accept being labeled as agnostic about the existance of the Loch Ness monster either because I do have an opinion on the matter.

Personally I think the FAM would do well with a squadron or two of AMX/T’s.
Except its not designed for the fighter/interceptor role especially not at high altitude. Sort of alot a money to spend on something that cant do the role its intended.
I dont think people realize just how low Mexico want their operating costs. For example I think South Africa still has Mirage F-1s on the market for $3 million a piece. Im sure there are cheap Mig-23s available. But these jets will not be able to be flown as often as F-5s.

There’s only really one isn’t there?…
The “Good Old” German mark viiC (7C).
The most deadly of all types, the ultimate version of the most deadly machines concieved, i think.
The type VII was specifaclly tailored for the needs of that time being: sea conditions of the atlantic, german martime industrial capacity, , medium range requirements, technical limitations of ASW, underwaters speed limitations. It should be noted that the type VII was greatly prefered over the type IX which was more like the larger boats that the US and Japan prefered to meet the specifac needs of warfare in the pacifac. Technologically the type VII was exactly the same as WWI U-Boats, the only improvement I can think of is welded hulls instead of rivited hulls. At least US boats had nice improvements like air conditioning, refrigeration for food and hydraulic torpedo handling.
Just curious Ben, what exactly would you like to see happen? Because in the US religion has become very strong lately, but it really hasnt improved anything, if anything it just hides the bad people do. Humans are just animals on this earth trying to survive like any other animal, anyone who thinks there above that is living in a fantasy. Whether god exists or not, religion is an ingrained part of the human mind due to mans fear of the unknown. Modern religions reflect the changes of historical improvements in social order and allow people to be more self reliant and social reliant. But becoming “religious” has always been a waste, history proves that, even current world religions of christianity, buddism and hinduism teach that.

It is said that the C.10 is comparable to earlier F-16Cs, such as the Block 30 and 40. In certain areas it’s even better than them, for example by having the EL/M-2032 radar, said to be better than the F-16I’s radar. And when all of that comes in an awefully low price, around 8 million dollars, I think it’s well worth it.
This has got to win an award for tacky salesmanship
The Kfir-2000 can be used as a poor man’s advanced multi-rule fighter, and with the ties we now create with Mexico, it might even come true.
And lets not forget post #36
what makes you think it can be compared to the T-38 Talon? Just because it looks similar doesn’t mean it’s comparable. Tell me then, the power it has, its structure, etc? I’ll tell you that the T-38 and almost every other aircraft of it’s type were derived from real combat aircraft.
It does have a better thrust to weight ratio than the talon. It also uses the Williams turbofans which are used in about every light bizjet nowadays. But with a T/O weight of 6000 lbs, I have serious doubts it will maintain flight qualitys when loaded down with guns, missiles as well as the structural upgrades necessary to carry them.
The used F-16s sound good, and some Block 15 ADF models would more then likely be affordable.
Well if the US would like to completely refurbish them for free and then sell them at near giveaway prices, then that would sound good.
Realistically F-16s or T-50s just wont happen. The F-16 is too much money and more than is necessary for the role, Mexican voters would never accept it. While the T-50 is more affordable, but its still too much money for what it lacks in range and cheap operating costs. The F-5 is just perfect for the role, and if used ones cant be bought, I think maybe Brazil could build some under license quite cheaply. I know that sounds like a longshot idea, but its better than no fighters.
I think the Javelin though having better fighter potencial than what its been given credit for, is still unproven as a fighter platform, while the F-5 is well proven in that role.
The BF42 mod Desert combat has the most realistic flying physics for helicopters youll find. BFVietnam is good also.
