    Solved it…….

6 Squadron association filled me in, it should be Silver, seems they took the grey from a black and white picture, I’ll be getting my hard earned back then!

Not sure on overflights – no PR “fit”?

Corgi and the others do make some errors on colours, decals etc (had a dragon wings F-14 with spelling mistakes on the decals…) there is a nice 112 Squadron Vampire image complete with sharkmouth I found on the above link. Most models they make, especially of vintage and older planes you can generally find photo’s of if you dig – I’m stumped on a blue vampire FB-5 ! – The FB9 designation I got from an ad for the model thats with a large pinch of salt. Seems from the above it is an FB-5, but I’d love to know about the colour. I’m a bit fussy with my models, if its inaccurate I’ll sell it on!

    useful link? http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/f/169/9/1

http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/f/169/9/1 – there is a profile copyright 2005 of the same aircraft, some useful others as well, it shows serial VV625 as 6 squadron.

    made me all nostalgic now…

I’m 41 – I had the Dinky Spitfire & Stuka from the Battle Of Britain movie tie in, also the Hurricane and Phantom – I thought that they were the bees knees, when you see them now they look less wonderful! – I loved them though, the Stuka bomb could take a cap in the nose – the caps, detachable bomb and swastika will all be banned now!

Can you frame grab on a PC?

Can you grab a frame on a PC and post it? I always read that they flew (after a fashion) in a straight line but they were not stable enough to throw around the sky at all?
