It is hard to believe those propellers were still able to power him away from this “gear-up landing”, back into the air, to land at Fort Lauderdale… :stupid:
Yes, those sounds must be the propeller tips being squared off… :dev2:

The B-25 isn’t all that much higher… 😮

I recorded this at the old Castle Air force Base, I was at a Radio Control event when the DC-4 took off, I was shooting with a telephoto lens so all you hear is the RC stuff. Next time I will do better.

I do wonder how he would be able to shut out the two-stroke engine sound nearby while capturing the roar far away… :confused:

How far away from/close to the trees is that Pitts?
