    Hey whats with removing all the flights,I was a fare [aying passenger on all of them otherwise i woould not have submitted them.SO NEXT TIME DO ME THE COURTESY AND ASK FIRST BEFORE YOU DO CRAP LIKE THAT!!!.

    my major concern was trying to read my book actually.
    the pilot and tech crew would not be there if they didnt know how to do the job so there is no need to worry.

    I work for emirates but with the elevation above sea level it generally makes for good viewing on t/o at Joburg.I saw a Qantas 744 t/o from there recently and it needed every inch of the runway.

    A Singapore Airlines flight from singapore to perth in dec 2000,not often that i am a passenger on another airline but i was on this day and the north of Australia was being hit by a savage cyclone.We were buffetted around for 3 hours and meal service came about 1 and half hours prior to landing.Doesnt worry me that much but my partner was a bit on edge.

    [updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-04-02 AT 07:25 PM (GMT)]also the transcript says they had to tow the a/c to the runway before starting it,dont know that they refuelled it there would take a rather long time

    I work for Emirates actually and the Captain of the 747-400 LHR- SYd was captain Brian Massie Greene
    i fly the B777-200/300 and i know for a fact that refuelling with PAX on board is a no no and QANTAS would never do it
    i will make some calls to some friends who are captains ad f/o with QANTAS to clraify this
