Most welcome.

The wings on the Corsair are folded hydraulically.
They can be unfolded under power or they can basically just be dumped manually. This can be done one wing at a time.
This image looks like the Port wing is down and locked and the Starboard wing has been caught in transit.
Hope that clarifies.
Thanks for all of the fantastic images folks.
I don’t think I’ll be flying my Tiger Moth for at least another month here in Canada, so the pictures sure help.
Andy
What a fantastically patriotic and high class gesture.
Thank you fine sir!
As far as “Raising 50,000 for Upkeep” no one should “Chastise” him for wanting to do that. 😀

ACF50 is amazing stuff!
Andy
Um, I’m only 43 🙂
Yeah Jim, You’re way older than Conrad Huffstutler, you old fogey!
Andy Scott (still not 50! 😀 )
Thanks for the link.
I’m not intending to be a downer, but, it would have been nice if they acted on this before everyone who was involved was in their eighties or better.
Most who were ever involved, are gone.

I met this Spitfire at OshKosh in 1994, saw her fly then. Beautiful.
I saw her more recently in Addison Texas (Cavanaugh Museum) 2011.
Sadly, collecting dust.
I don’t think she has flown since the ’90’s.
Andy Scott
I find this quite interesting.
Thanks for posting.
Look forward to your findings.

Nice!
This is a very exciting and unique project.
Great to see them move to a place that will help progress.

Wow!
Lovely indeed.
Thanks to all for all of the wonderful images posted.

That sucks.
I hope the folks have a speedy recovery.
What’s left of the Tiger looks a horrible mess. That won’t be speedy.
I wonder why the picture is printed backwards?
Andy
Errol, I can’t speak for the whole forum, but you were correct.
I did not mind, having to scroll through, an nice selection of photos, of what looks like quite an impressive show.
I am always amazed by the fantastic array of aeroplanes that fly in N.Z.
Thanks for the post and link.

I thought it was a brilliant bit of aviating.
Correct decisions from, what I am sure, was a very short list.
Chris never quit flying the aeroplane.
I thought it was well done at the time and certainly don’t see a down side to awarding a medal.
Being a maintainer, I think the ones who bust their knuckles returning the Sea Fury to flight certainly deserve a share of the medal, or at least a case of beer! 🙂
