This is not going to end well, you are daring to challenge the official Washington party line, which in this case goes “evil Putin and Russia did it, trust us!!!111!!!111!1”- party line that is of course loudly and vociferously impregnated into the very magazines Key Publishing is controlling (look it up if you don’t believe me, there are many “wonderful” pieces of russophobia, sinophobia and other “phobias” you would expect in there- turning one’s stomach type), and that my friends is inviting a ban, according to the Moderators here…

Probably same as the allegations that it might have been the good old US who shot down the other malaysian flight, because of it being “hijacked by terrorists and heading towards Diego Garcia”, they say. And those who claim such certainly have a point, in this day and age when every INCH of this planet is spied upon from above, how in the bloody hell a whole airliner completely vanishes, and after months of searching not one trace of it is found!? Impossible… or there’s something else going on.

But hey, everybody knows the US Mini Peace is only telling the truth and only the truth… you are an “enemy” if you dare to think otherwise, you insignificant prole. 😡

    1. Is that an Su-35 or an Su-27SM? (Does the SM have 12 hardpoints like the Su-35 or the standard 10 of a normal Su-27?)

That’s a Su-35S. As for Su-27SM, the SM3 version (new built) has 12 hardpoints, but not sure about the P/S upgraded to SM airframes. There’s an article somewhere i’ll have to find.

Holy **** it’s real. Why should i be surprised though, this is the new China. Can’t wait for the “monster” rumoured from SAC (or CAC- or both?!), FC-31, new carriers, news DDGs and a myriad of other cutting edge systems, and of course this bird entering initial service (2016 rumoured as of now)!

So this must be the first one with full or most of the mission avionics? (especially radar). Maybe this is why we haven’t seen clear pics so far… What do you make of the rumours about 1 more (2014) preparing for it’s first flight and 3 more joining testing next year Deino?:)

So these 5 KRs (33 to 37) and 1 KUBR (52) are doing pre-delivery check flights? Nice to see things moving at MiG too. :p

Simple. J-31 is an attempt to COPY what the Americans have developed on the F-35. And as anyone knows a copy, a Xerox if you will, is never as strong as the original. Every significant feature on the J-31 is a feature first developed by the Americans.

Does anymore need to be said?

China is just trying to keep up and the world understands.

Butthurt is strong with this one. I’m afraid it’s likely to get worse, much worse;) (rumour is J-20 2013 should come out soon, and also, i’m not sure how accurate, we have to wait and see if it will prove true, but some rumours talk about yet ANOTHER single engine -this time- light fighter from CAC. Can you imagine THREE chinese LO fighters?)

I didn’t say that Berkut as you can clearly see from my wording (despite being clearly anti-US and on the russian/novorussian side in this geopolitical conflict). I think i said it clearly when this whole tragedy happened (and the ensuing political war started) that the “morally best” and most likely scenario is that MH17 was shot down by mistake. However in light of the reputation and past history of the actors involved, and the visceral propaganda we are bombarded with every day, imo it IS wise to be open to all possibilities, including intentional actions to provoke this tragedy. Don’t you think that is indicated?

It is of course hard to let personal feelings and convictions out of one’s judgments in such situations, but like i said before, it may be be that the russian/pro-russian side does not accurately present the whole truth, but sure as hell neither is the US axis one! The question is, what is the REAL truth of what happened to MH17?

Just some thoughts about the current issues regarding ROKAF:

It appears the cancellation of the KF-16 upgrade with BAe and the apparently imminent replacement of that company with an entirely US one, coupled with the fact that SK was ordered by US not to send the KAI T-50 aerobatics team to Zhuhai 2014 because of the uber-super secret US technology in T-50 (yeah right) while they participated themselves, imo shows who’s calling the shots in SK regretably (the Zhuhai affair was a direct affront and humiliation imo- due to presumably the increasingly pragmatic and mutually beneficial SK-China relations). This imo, also bodes poorly for KFX/IFX chances to come to fruition, i seriously doubt the americans will tolerate a direct competitor to F-35 from one of their “allies”. They could be forced to buy some more F-35s by the way things are looking.

Interesting how no one from the pro-US crowd mentioned the video posted by Crow11 on the previous page. I think that’s the first tangible proof that we see with our own eyes to support one or the other side’s claims. So presumably, the 30mm round shatters after impact hence the shrapnel effect when it exits?

China’s FC-31 fighter disappoints in first display

Of course it disappoints, the huge strides and advances made by chinese aviation in the last decades is causing a lot of butthurt and disappointments in the circles we all know. Besides, i guess they compared this “disappointing” display with say the awesome and fabulous F-35 displays we are all accustomed with by many of the 100 built so far… oh wait a minute, there is no such thing, except a straight line pass-presumably, by that logic then this F-35 is even more disappointing than FC-31 right, all we could see is it can only go straight!

On a serious note, ignoring the bias of these aviation “experts”, FC-31 is a sole example so far, a proof of concept flying for just 2 years now, what one can expect, cobras and backflips!? Did for instance T-50 do any vigorous maneuvering during it’s first airshow? Of course not, take some time to safely expand the envelope.

I for one looking very forward to more “disappointment” and sore bottoms from the usual circles when the first production type FC-31 hopefully flies next year.

Crow11, you absolutely took the words out of my mouth, this is exactly what i was thinking to post regarding the “source” of this supposed satellite image depicting MH17. Indeed it’s a very likely scenario that the reporters from that TV got fooled, most of reporters of any creed are usually terrible in aviation matters anyway. They probably thought they hit the jackpot with a sensational story when this “source” got in touch with them. The very mention of “US MIT” should have made them think twice, but they foolishly didn’t. Also i never believe in coincidences on the political scene, this image and the sharply increased russophobe and warmongering rhetoric of the US axis and their ukrainian fascist…ummm, sorry, “democratic” puppets is coinciding with this G20 meeting.

Also, let’s not forget it could also be an INSIDE job, as there is for all intents and purposes an active fifth column (acting through NGOs and other outlets- guess who sponsors those NGOs) working against the russian state from within, perhaps someone from that TV allowed this to go on air INTENTIONALLY. Of course, the russophobe crowd here and everywhere think Putin himself controls and approves every single word and every single fart that ever gets said and done on russian TV, of course they are mental. They probably spill tears of joy and jump up and down screaming “commie russian propaganda fail, Russia & Putin so weak, Amerika so strong, oh so so strong!!11!!!1” But then you can’t ask much from a brainwashed group of citizens of Oceania (i don’t even know if to pity or loath them)… 😡

Whatever happened to MH17, and whatever happened and happens in Ukraine, it happened in only one way only, it was one single flow of events that can never be altered, the question is are we ever going to find out and/or be told what really happened and who is at fault? Because one thing is absolutely certain, it maybe be that the non-US aligned claims of the chain of events might not represent the absolute truth, but sure as hell neither is the US and it’s axis claims!

Unconfirmed reports suggest a J-10B on a pre-delivery flight crashed today. Injuries reported, but (fortunately) no deaths.

F-35 cockpit without HUD. Judging from the J-31 layout, it is clear that the Chinese copied the F-35 cockpit slavishly without fully understanding what they were doing.

On the contrary, they know exactly what they are doing. If the HMS goes on the F-35 (not working properly as it is anyway…), good luck aiming with a chewing gum spot on the windscreen… if the HMS goes on FC-31, just use the HUD. Oh they know what they’re doing alright, don’t you worry about them.

All i can say that Johnson “expert” is either a moron or (more likely) just a mouthpiece for certain interests. Me i hope the likes of him (not to mention the sinophobe crowd) will be again made to look like fools when (according to rumours) the production FC-31 flies in 2015. Also, i saw reference somewhere to an engine called WS-17, though i will not be surprised if FC-31 will still fly initially with RD-93s. Even if initially it would have to use Klimovs surely SAC can just buy some of the latest RD-33MK at 9 tons, or even MKM at 9,5 tons. Why wouldn’t 18 or 19 tons of thrust be sufficient for this bird? I think in 2012 some specs were released, it’s supposed to have a normal TO weight of 17,5 tons, right?

I see, thanks. Me i could swear i see wings on that thing (top, folded). Why would one put wings on a dispenser? Maybe not a JASSM class, but bet it’s at least a JSOW class weapon.
PS: looks like it’s this, it definitely has wings, i saw the name “Cloud Arrow-6” somewhere else but not sure, i think it says something else on the mock-up.
