Very nice, professional looking scheme.
Why no VVS Rossiye on the sides though? All it needs.
Probably it’s just been painted , they’ll add the bort number and the VVS ROSSII logo shortly imo.:)
Aparently they are /will be overhauled in Belarus. This algerian MiG-29 could have been photographed there some time ago (note Su-17 in the background), but i’m not 100% sure.

Presumably, from take-off magazine , don’t know what year.

😮

Latest Su-30MKA image, KF-41 landing .

LOL why? so it could fly under powered and carry less while being more smokey at the same time? horrible idea.
the MiG-23’s current engine has way more thrust.
Al-31 MiG-23’s however are more doable and has been done on the 27
Like Fulcrum29 said the MiG-23s( both attacker and interceptor) are long out of service, so are MiG-21s etc .
One of the things i’m very interested is, what will be the next combat aircraft for Algeria ? More Su-30MKAs? Su-35? MiG-35? Maybe a western aircraft ?! Also wonder what’s gonna happen with their MiG-29, are they going to be replaced fairly shortly ( end of airframe hours?) or given a proper upgrade a la SMT/UPG?
Would assume that if everything goes well and current political trends continue, PAK-FA will be a given in the early twenties (even earlier , who knows)
Myanmar MiG-29 ( not mine obviously -hope they haven’t been posted)

3rd Air Defence Wing’s MiG-29 9.13, showing the unit badge, and also A-G loadout. Pictures taken at the beggining of the 2000s aparently.

Interesting MiG-23BNs (long retired at the moment ) sporting Mk82 bombs , aparently purchased from S.Africa. Source forcesdz.com

Hmm…it seems the last 2 pics of Su-35S red 04 have been jiggled around with Photoshop. Can it be confirmed that it’s indeed the 4th Su-35S?
Couple more pics of Su-35S 04

I didn’t know they operated the King Air…do you happen to know their uses for the two models? VIP airlift? Liaison?
Aparently 3 C90B were purchased in the eighties for formation at Tafraoui air school , then 3 more GTx purchased last year ( 2011?) used aparently on both formation and transport.
