Yes, that was a ground loop – it was just off airfield!

Black 6 was not as badly damaged as this, though I am sure Fluffy could confirm.

It looks rebuildable, but there is a lot of work here.

    Bruce

1/ Wot the ???? Has fluffy (NO DISREPECT INTENDED OR INFERRED AS HE TO MY KNOWLAGE HAD NOT ANY INVOLEMENT NOR ANY OF THE GOOD MEN WHO SERVE WITH HIM ) to do with this .

2/Black six landed straight as a die, albeit jumping a Moterway but encountered the end of setaside land, ie Ploughed field, so nosed over.

3/ Glad to hear all OK but dammage greater than black6 not good.

doG not appy Spellin usual stuff..

Not what I am saying at all, but we have to draw a line somewhere airshows are the 2nd largest source of Entertainment in the UK after football. I wouldnt like to see it loose its spot.

BAS over the years find that During the Ant Winter it is benificial to fly to Dh Canida For Annual service! Then to Cambridge, Home of Scott polar research institute. For the NEW scientific stuff. This years stuff is to do with Measurement of the depth of the ice cap (approx 12 Km) I understand. A Thermograph & a Gravometer?.Sorry Got most of the way with the Boffin but as usual he got A smidge over the top explaining!
Golbal warmin an all that Stuff,
If the doG lost it so did I.
“Cannida” is a lost cause between red wine & Scotch ” Sorry Pardon” I Almost heard that.”

    Can you elaborate?

Are you saying they were attempting to hire out those positions?

    Moggy

not to hire but to say reserved space for saturday, note encapsulated in plastic. First come lucky man/person should be the way. Did hear a request for ladder users to do so from the rear of the crowd line over the P.A. treated with the usual distain I expect by a majority of users I expect!

“The crowds at Duxford for the Sunday event will be able to watch the aircraft depart Duxford for the Mall flypast and then watch the events unfold live on big screens.”

I found this on the royal air force website and was wondering if I just completely missed the big screens.

Must say ,coulnt see any screens. But the RAF still may have some privilages at DX that we dont know of.Well done to all involved any way.

Scott I for one would like to associate my self with your commemts. I am shure that Classic Wings will review their Opperating Mannual and connsult with the CAA if the need for change is found by either party. The prioritys were good PAX then Aircraft.
The speed that this type of fire can spread is frightening, therefore well done crew, well done PAX u all listened to the Brief and got it right.Thank you all for a satifactory outcome.

    Auster Fan.
The reason ML407 was not there, nor has it ever participated at Flying Legends, is because it is a trianer and there are no trainers at that show. I know of one exception once, but I’ll leave the experts to spot that.

Wot about the dual control P51. Admialy Flow by Ed Shiply & Steve Hinton,to-days P51 Pair.

This incident was unfortunate, but a well done to the ground crew member who spotted it ,evacuated the Pax And used the onboard extinguisher to do his thing.
Also worth a mention is the fire crews were stood down to the station after the show which was when the incident occurred, though on scene PDQ .their role was more to assure all present.
