David,
Have you been in touch with a chap who has a Hornet prop spinner for sale? I recently saw it advertised in i think the LAA magazine. Meant to PM you with the details but can’t seem to find it now:confused:
At 60 feet it’s best to be looking out and not inside at an altimeter, remember ‘one hiccup and your in the drink’…..
What great entertainment based on a subject that we all love. Shame we can’t get away with doing over here.
Nice one Buffalo!!!:)
Not quite sure it was a technical failure judging by the tail rotor sticking out the side of the house. Looks like some one tried to park it in a hurry!!!!

Do we know if the fenland museum is still up and running?
No Idea, It’s not part of the museum but located a few hundred yards up the road. It looks very complete, painted an odd camo green colour and is laying on a stack of wooden pallets.
Seems an odd place to have it next to the road in a farm field as anyone could climb all over it.
There is a odd painted hunter in a field just up the road from Thorpe camp/ Woodhall spa in Lincolnshire.
I’d imagine it was just slang for the whole gun system ‘The sting in the tail’……
