Very much the Chicken and the Egg scenario. The obvious would be to aquire the aircraft first as without which the hangar would be useless.
What’s happened to the Transport Command Dakota, isn’t it currently being restored?
If you want to use it then I’d be very cautious as they are very complicated machines that are very temperamental. For £1500 you are probably better off buying a PC flight sim. If you do go ahead with it then if you PM me I might be able to help out with some spares.
Another one from Air Ministry’s ever giving garage and thanks to Alan now on display for all to see. We better put it under armed guard if they are now worth as much as the one advertised.

Being so close to Coningsby we are hoping every departing and arriving aircraft will be routing via Metheringham. It should be a great event and fingers crossed for the weather.
Just a reminder for this Weekend.

I’ve got a very nice complete propellor for a Lynx engine if you need one.
One more pic of our Flight Engineer.
The Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre is looking to purchase a Wartime Female WAAF uniform for museum display. If any one can help then I’d be very grateful if you could kindly PM me. Thanks
Was all this saved?
If that was my bullet riddled tail fin then I’d only be too pleased that it was replaced by the one in the IWM on my aircraft.
The Auster Air Observation Post aircraft were fitted with WS22.
Would be interesting to see what the forum thinks it’s worth as I suppose there are plenty of a Millionaires out there looking for an unusual Television stand that would pay a few quid for it.
