One that springs to mind was Lakenheath July 86, purely for the fact that it lashed it down all day with a hideously low cloud ceiling.
A great shame, because it had the makings of a great show.
A couple of memories, the A-10 pilot stoically answering questions by his jet looking like a drowned rat………and the F-111F’s taking off for a flyby and disappearing into the clag just after rotation.
A few Biggins and a couple of IAT/RIAT’s were weathered out too.
So far, its only been the weather that has ruined a show for me, not any organisational foul ups like the NZ farce mentioned earlier.
