My guess at the small white building would be main electrical distribution switchgear, note the transformer in the compound behind, and orange / red “tripped” indicator lamp on side of building. No large ventillation / air inlets or exhaust outlets make me feel its not a standby genny building. Keith.
Thank you for reminding me of the constitution, I have a weird love of all large old, limited production, aircraft !!!! I will share this, very late, pic, possibly at its final resting place, as parts are missing ?? Keith.

It is Haw See Fur G-CBEL almost, possibly, maybe ??????
Oh dear, and so close to home, just want to ask why ? Have these people no feeling at all ! Have they no ancestors whom may have been part of this ?
I assume it’s just greed with no thought at all ! Keith very saddened !
Buster The Bear, I agree with your sentiments entirly, but the chances seem to be slipping away far to quickly ??? Keith.
Hey guys, keep the toys in the cot, almost same pic, different lighting ???

Prospector Prospectus.
Hi, I have “borrowed” this from FLIGHT of 04 03 60, hope it scanned ok, if this is not the done thing then I stand to get my hand slapped ! You may have seen this before, but I found it another different use for this aircraft ????? Keith.

I also remember the 990’s of that period, but for a different reason, that of always emitting large amounts of “smoke” (see previous pic), must say that it is also so similar to the early KC135’s at Mildenhall etc. Of course all of these were designed before the phrase “global warming” was invented ! oh happy daze ? Keith.
About 10 years ago I spend four days driving (escorted) around the whole place in order to carry out a thermal survey of the electrical distribution system within. Imagine the security checks every day to allow me and one other into this place carrying what to most looked like a tv camera ?
We even had to pass through the “strictly no entry” security into AWE !
I can confirm that I saw lots, most has gone now, but part of TSR2 several lightning parts, what I think was a BAC 111 fuselage, most of the airframes were in one area ? Whilst within AWE area, a heavily escorted truck arrived and two MP’s came to us to ensure we “averted” our eyes whilst whatever they were doing was done !!!!! I can assure you it is desolete and bleak, but apparently a very good nature reserve, despite some loud bangs and woooshes. Keith
As Foulness is/was used for weapons evaluation etc, I would suggest a large gun / rocket / missile firing range. Keith.
Most of this is assumed ! I would think the generator mounting “skids” may have had four downward legs fitting into the four cutaways in the plinthes, therefore no mounting would be needed.
Yes, all airfields with runway lighting have standby generators, always near the runway, these buildings may also house the main switchgear for runway / approach lighting, with only a small, remote control, cable connection linked to the tower.
Excuse my indulgence, but I spent much of my apprenticeship working on “airfield visual aids”, runway lighting et al, and spent many a happy hour inside this type of building, sheltering from the weather and, sometimes, the older electricians ! haha ! happy daze ! Keith.
I would think this was a generator building, the “trench’s” in the floor would be cable ducts, were there openings in the wall at high level for exhaust system outlets ? Keith.
Dragonfly, Just went to the website, It worked for me ! including all internal links etc. Keith
I imagine you have seen this photo ? G-APWX under a stormy sky. Keith.

Moggy all sounds good to me (as if I know), couple of pics from the web may help ! Falco F8L.
