As far as i know no report published which has always puzzled me.
My first show that i remember was Biggin 1982 but 1992 was a particular favourite of mine for many reasons The line up of bombers the first and only time i have seen a Liberator at all,The Vulcan, the Arnold spitfires,Tigercat, butane buzzard gnat,The shuttleworth collection sent Hind and gladiator too i seem to remember, there was also the first Biggin display of a su27 from Russia if i remember rightly.
I am 30 today but do remember being 17 just at that age did’nt think i be 30
Always seems odd to me to house anything above the wing this really ruined the look of the Lightning, but looking at the Airframe i can’t see another place to hang extra tanks,The Jaguar carries Sidewinders above the wing and i believe can hold fuel tanks there too,but in general this seems very rare thing to do.

with all the wings and gismoes atached to these cars the open wheels dont cause that much drag but as to why their like that if they had a proper shell on them they would`nt be formula 1 cars and the racing would probably be better.:D
I think its partly due to it being easier to change the tires when they are open like that,i guess tradition plays its part but then again thats the only common link to old still F1 cars really,F1 was ment to be wheel to wheel racing now its nothing like that,it lacks intrest for me now as its not racing anymore.

Was nice to see the irish win something but England will be on better form against France it should be a great game.

The one thing that would improve Flying Legends in my opinion, and please don’t laugh, would be to turn the volume of the music down which is played on the PA system for certain displays (or just turn it off completely). I know it is supposed to be stirring music, but frankly I want to hear the beautiful roar of Merlins as the BBMF does it’s stuff rather than ‘Land of Hope and Glory’. Just an observation from the Legends I have been to (2000/2001/2002). Other than that, Legends is an amazing airshow. I have to say that I am glad I missed the last one though (and if I had still been in the UK last summer I would almost certainly have been there).
I must agree on the music side of things i know its to set the mood so to speak but it does drown out the sounds of the engines too much for my liking,I must say i have been overall impressed with the commentators at Legends who generally know people want to hear the aircraft and do shut up enough at times to allow this.
Its hard to improve on such a unique show but i would like to see some more static aircraft from the collection on show outside,I must admit i don’t like seeing things like the utterly Butterly wing walkers there either(only seen them once there)would rather see i stearman in military colours flown dueing the show,Legends works so well because no other show feels like it or is like it that must not change.
Tell you what i used if i could stand outside on practice day and now i wish i had a good camera then because the Buccaneer use to look amazing flying in low level over the Valley, sadly no camera hence no picture but a fond memory.
Nice pic of my mate Arthur Mitchell(get it?),As to Speedtwin i believe it was a new build and think it had something to do with the team behind Thrust ssc,Richard Noble i maybe wrong but i seem to remember him promoting it originally,He has?had his own aviation company too and had talked of making Training aircraft and maybe even giving Learjet a run for their money by building a business jet.
Does the Speedtwin still exist?I remember her at Biggin92 but never seen her since.
Thanks for posting these photos hope you or someone here has some more,!992 was one of the best Biggin airshows i can remember.
I say let them have their own sercurity that in effect takes the responsibilty off of our people and should mean we can look after other travellers instead,I don’t see it as over reacting it was the worst terrorist attack ever done and it is lightly something of its like will occur again somewhere,so anything done to prevent it has to be good,The USA has had parts of it Airforce based here since world war 2 nobody seems that worried on that now.
