I would love to build it but can’t handle waiting every two weeks to collect it and around £400 for a model is steep at any price.think it better to buy some cheap models and use the rest of cash to get to some airshows and see real aircraft fly.

Accidents are still, thankfully, rare events – it is the media and our unprecedented access to news today which highlights these rare events so that they do not seem so.

I was on duty at RAF Lossiemouth in 1974 (I think) when we lost a Jaguar practicing for a display. If I recall, it narrowly missed the bomb dump. However, I didn’t see the accident myself. The pilot banged out ok.

Nevertheless, my personal thanks goes to all those that have lost their lives, and those that haven’t, for giving me so much pleasure over the years.

Good luck to everyone next year.

I have been unfortunate enough to have seen four airshow crashes,I maybe do five airshows a year some times more theres no law of averages on accidents and sadly the press love these things,No accident has stopped me going toairshows even the awful 2001 Biggin weekend i just wish there was a memorial to show our respects to the crews who lost there lives for us.

I never saw the original TFC Kingcobra she looked wonderful, always loved this design and the earlier P39 airacobra, been thinking since witnessing the second P63 crash at Biggin its unlikely ever see a one again in UK,be great when TFC get p39 though, love the photo of Mossie and of RNHF we have been lucky to see such aircraft and there crew, lets hope 2004 be accident free we have all seen too many crashes.

I just put Vintage pair in my search engine and found some information on them i won’t go into details it was 1986,all i rather say is how much i respect all pilots who fly Vintage aircraft,

    Tom.

I do agree i had also noticed that Firefly doesnot look quiet right but from that airframe maybe something could be restored after all they seem to be able to amazing restorations these days,I hope the Duxford shack will survive maybe its down to the public to do something.

Always pains me seeing such pictures when i go through my old photos it shocks me how many aircraft are no more,i think sometimes thats why i take photos is to preserve the memory of such aircraft and crew,Godbless all crew who flew and failed to return whether in war or for airshows.
