Not seen this one for a while, but in terms of storyline, it’s pretty poor:
The only thing to redeem this, I think, is the copious amounts of wartime footage – Spitfires (602 Squadron near the end), Hudsons, and a couple of Harvards (and possibly a genuine or mock-up Bf109 wreck).
The model work is ropey, at best, although some close-ups involving a full-scale (I think!) Spitfire mock-up are rather good.
I bought this as part of a box set for £5.99 with The Blue max and D-Day 6th June as other films, I have not watched it yet but a around £2 I can’t complain can I?.

Its a shame to see this incident occurred after all the efforts that have gone into making this beauty fly. Really hope the damage is not too bad, From the picture other than the obvious propeller damage I would guess the engine has been shock loaded and although it is hard to tell I expect there maybe damage to the undercarriage doors too, All in all either way its not going to be cheap it is to repair.
Glad it was not far worse and hope with some care and attention and some £s she will be back flying soon.
Whilst I am amused that they managed to show a Spitfire of a Polish Squadron, I am sickened that they are trying to use anything to do with World War II and the heroes of that conflict to preach a hatred and Nazism, The very thing so many people fought and died to prevent the spread of.
They clearly know nothing of the history of World War II and are trying to claim the Spitfire as a symbol of their beliefs, And a make it a tool of hate, This happened with the Swastika which was a symbol of peace until it was adopted by Hitler, We also losing the St Georges flag and the Union flag(Jack) for the same reasons and this is something we must stop.
I am a proud Englishman who is not ashamed to have a St Georges cross proudly showing, My wife is Belorussian and has been called things such as “Stinking polish” etc which in any form is racism. I see the irony is she is paying taxes to the country and doing a service for the country and has never taken a penny from it, Infact she has paid more than most because with have paid for indefinite leave to remain and for citizenship which between them are near enough £1600, But that is another story.
There are issues in Britain and (Asterisked strong language edited out at the request of just one user.) like the BNP play on these, By making them about nationality and race, Its all so sad as Britain is a proud multicultural country and we have a lot to be proud of but not what the BNP is twisting around on.

Anybody received them in the post yet? I am still waiting.
If you want to remain in Geek heaven, then every movie will fail in your expectations.
If I pay money to be entertained, I don’t give a flying hoot if the “Marque 7c of this particular aeroplane actually had 146 rivets around the cockpit, not 200. The producers were clearly LYING!”Top gun is a great movie.
So is Firefox
So is Pearl HarboUr.If they are a little lapse with the props (No pun) then who really cares?
If you allow such things to invade your mind whilst watching a film, then you aint looking for entertainment. On the other hand, when stuff appears on documentary Ch like NatGeo and the like, and they get it wrong….then fair enough, you can let go with both barrels.
I do totally agree, All the same Pearl Harbour sucks for me as the story line is just awful. Its been years since I saw Firefox but did like that as a kid, Maybe I should re watch it and see what I think.
Like some guys have said here I too love 633 Squadron I remember many saturday afternoon watching that, I also remember my dad having a LP that had a lot of the theme tunes to films like 633 Squadron, Dam Busters and Battle of Britain. Used upset me Mum playing them at times.

Top Gun 1986
The movie aviation enthusiasts love to hate, full of inacuracies, F-5E’s called Mig-28 launching exocet missiles, the flury of idiots who see the movie and think the Mig-28 is real, this movie i can’t stand
I feel I need defend Top Gun a bit,Remember it was filmed during the cold war, The Soviets were not exactly going to lend a Mig-21 or something were they?, The flying scenes are good and its good entertainment. Its not trying to give a true account of anything its escapism.
For bad films with Aviation in them Pearl Harbour comes to mind, The whole film makes me cringe.
For good films Battle of Britain, Memphis Belle come to mind as flying pretty good in them.

Very sad. As a dyed in the wool ELO fan this news I will remember for ever. The first member of THE group of my teens and early adulthood to die.
Kelly seemed to have time for those (like me) who saw ELO as more than a vehicle for Jeff Lynne’s talents.
No doubt the internet will be awash with expressions of sadness from Mr Lynne (not).
Kelly – bass player, singer, songwriter, friend to the fans – RIP.
I have never had the chance to see Jeff Lynne play anything live and very much doubt I ever will, Kelly brought the songs to life.
The messages of tribute to him on the forums and web sites show how much he was loved by the fans and how well he was respected, For me he was a approachable frontman who loved to bring the music to the fans.
The Orchestra the band he led are going to carry on the tour they had planned for May as a tribute, But sadly I can not see how it will work without Kelly.
