    RIP Anna,
Sad for anyone to die so young, I always saw her almost as a parody or a Cartoon somebody not quiet real. I wonder if she ever really knew herself, She seemed a bit empty inside at times.
I know some people talk of her “Golddigging” but there was always something intresting and compelling about her and i don’t mean just sexually either, She was a character in a largely faceless world.

i have to admit to thinking if it was that important, why wait until its being knocked down to mention it. if its been empty or derelict for a couple of years then there was ample time to get a campaign going.
at the end of the day, you can’t save every bit of heritage.

I have mentioned it here several times and tried to get a campaign going but to be trueful there seemed to be no great urge from others to save it, I was very fond of this pub and at least 3 others that have been destroyed in the croydon area in recent years, It seems no amount of campaigning would have saved them.
In the case of The Propeller i tried but alone i could not do much.

I don’t think Stephen Grey made his money by operating warbirds, and I suspect substantial amounts of cash have been put into the collection to make it as interesting as it has been over the past 25 years or so!

My thoughts exactly, I do not know how SG has made his money nor do i have any wish to know thats none of my business. I am just glad i have had the chance to see many Warbirds through the Fighter Collection that i never would have seen flying otherwise, Aircraft such as P-38,P-39,P-63, Hawk,P-51c,Hellcat,Wildcat,Bearcat etc, That i am eternally grateful for. We are lucky to have such a great collector in the UK.
I feel Stephen Grey is like all of us that collect just on a grander scale, You collect for the affection or intrest you have for what you are collecting not the money, If you thought about the money you probably would not collect at all.

I know sadly the Bae Mosquito RR299 was lost there in 1996, I thought it was a families day Airshow in 1996 but could be wrong, Unfortunatly i never managed to see a show there.

I would refrain from discussing this matter folks, or do the words national security mean nothing? Just because the media sre the biggest breach of military security in existence is no reason for us to join in. Read up on past SAS ops if you wish to understand more about them plus you’ll learn something at the same time.

I understand your concerns, But would say that just stating that the SAS are going to be based in London does not pose a threat to the Nations sercurity, It should be a comfort to Londoners to know that such a professional organisation is involved in our sercurity, And the fact is we will only find out through the news what they want us to know.
I have read a lot of the stories of how the SAS has dealt with past operations, And the fact that such stories are in the public demain has probably more sercurity threat than just saying they are to be based in London after all they have been based somewhere in the UK since they were formed anyway.
If anybody does know anything sensitive to sercurity(i Don’t) i am sure they would not share it on some forum somewhere.

Be nice if you got all your OFMC footage together on DVD!

Now that would be a DVD worth watching.

I really hope this is nonsense, The Red Arrows bring in a lot of trade for the UK and are great Ambassadors for the UK in General, They are also great recruiting tool for the RAF many kids dream of Being a Red Arrow pilot.
We need the Red Arrows and the Government should not under estimate this.

What is the issue here is in 2007 a TV show is openly showing somebody being subjected to Racism and bullying, If you had been racist or Bullied somebody at Work or a Neighbour you would probably lose your job or in the case of a neighbour have police investigation into your actions, Its not to be tolerated in REAL life or on TV.
Its time we exercised our fingers to racism and to the bigots that preach it.
