I have to say i have no intrest in BB or the people that are in it, But any form of Racism is sick and Channel 4 by showing this is also sick, Good on the Car phone warehouse distancing themselves from the show, Now the TV watchdogs should remove the show from the Air and take action against Channel 4.
The other thing that concerns me is the racism allegations have caused hype that has increased the shows viewing figures, Previous to this it seems the show was losing viewers, I wonder if clever editing is involved to make more of the controversy.
I think its time BB went and people like Jade Goody go back to being the nobodys they are.

Many years ago there was a fairly good looking Lisunov Li-2 outside the museum. Don’t know if it is still there, and the museum was closed on the day of my visit, so I have no idea what’s inside. So go and have a look and tell the rest of us…

Not sure what is there Aviation wise but will ask my wife later, She is from Belarus and has family and friends in Minsk, Have to say i like Minsk as a City too,The day i last went there the Lisunov Li-2 was covered in snow, Did’nt go in the museum as had no time.

why they pay so much for such an ugly person?

he was a good player century ago when i was a child .

Simple answer is they paid so much for him because his name is hugely marketable, They will be able to sell shirts, Calenders, Toys you name it with his name on,And his name is known globally so thats plenty of people to sell to, The first time he plays will probably be to a sellout crowd with all the hype that comes with him.
The press will follow him or his Wife everywhere so they will get publicity that way too, Its all a marketing exersise really, Lets be honest Football(Soccer) is not too popular in America and Beckham could be the thing to increase its popularity.
Yes its silly money but i probably will bring back silly money and lets be honest if you are nearing the end of your career like Beckham is and somebody comes up with a deal like this you ain’t going to turn it down.

I did wonder if Ollie was just trying to make a lighthearted joke about the Camera not realising it that it possibly holds photo’s taken by Steve or Al, I am not sure that Ollie would have known Steve or Al or of their sad passing or connected it with this camera, So maybe its wrong to judge him.
What troubles me more is if Ollie does not have the Camera who does? I pray it turns up and can be produced as soon as possible.

Not that strange, I guess he has realised how difficult it is to find a public toilet these days, So he thought if he stole one he would never need spend so much desperate time searching:D .

It always for me had a good atmosphere and was a great place to watch the Arrivals on a friday in recent times when Biggin Hill became unable to let the public in due to insurance hikes, Not sure where i will watch arrivals this year.

Does anybody have any news on its fate so far, I keep seeing plans but its still standing so far and recently the site was up for auction again, Has the Council plans fell through? Is there anyway to save this piece of history?.

Someone passed this to me the other day, saying it was a good one for my new ipod, I don’t think so, totally incomprehensible lyrics:-

Manfred Mann – Blinded By the Light Lyrics

    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Madman drummers bummers,
Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat
In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into his hat
With a boulder on my shoulder, feelin’ kinda older,
    I tripped the merry-go-round
With this very unpleasin’, sneezin’ and wheezin,
the calliope crashed to the ground
The calliope crashed to the ground
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
Some silicone sister with a manager mister told me I go what it takes
She said “I’ll turn you on sonny to something strong,
play the song with the funky break”
And go-cart Mozart was checkin’ out the weather chart to see if it was safe outside
And little Early-Pearly came by in his curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride
Asked me if I needed a ride
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night
    Blinded by the light
She got down but she never got tired
She’s gonna make it through the night
She’s gonna make it through the night
But mama, that’s where the fun is
But mama, that’s where the fun is
Mama always told me not to look into the eye’s of the sun
But mama, that’s where the fun is
Some brimstone baritone anticyclone rolling stone preacher from the east
Says, “Dethrone the dictaphone, hit it in it’s funny bone,
that’s where they expect it least”
And some new-mown chaperone was standin’ in the corner,
    watching the young girls dance
And some fresh-sown moonstone was messin’ with his frozen zone, reminding him of romance
The calliope crashed to the ground
    But she was…
    Blinded by the light,
    revved up like a deuce,
    another runner in the night

Oh and I disagree about post Water’s lyrics for Pink Floyd.

Blinded by the Light was written by Bruce Springsteen and was on his first album “Greetings from Asbury park” it makes no sense at all but the Manfreds version sounds better in my view.

Apart from Thomson who have released a press statement on their website, This information is correct from looking at the website.

The other airlines may or may not follow.
However its clear to see from 2 incidents and one near incident that something needs to be done. Especially when pilots have to hold for runway checks, or have expressed concerns to their respective company’s about safety. This should not be compromised.
I’m no expert, but to me, a larger Jet a/c skidding down the runway could be alot worse than a slower, smaller ATR!

I think its sensible that so many companies have decided to divert their flights from Bristol until the problems with Runway has been solved.
Safety must come first no matter what, Besides a accident however minor would bring huge bad press to a Airline, Something not worth risking.

Lets be honest Flying Legends is always something special and the Fighter Collection team do a fine job every year bring us this show, I can think of nowhere else that will get such a gathering of warbirds as Duxford will when Legends is on, Thats what makes it exciting and a must attend Airshow.

The only things i wish for for Legends and anys how are,
    1)A safe accident free Display
    2)A Good Crowd
    3)Good Weather

Once you have those three i am sure the organisers will lay on a unforgetable day.
