Interesting photos James. Just out of interest, the second pic in post 160 shows the said Canberra well off the runway and apparently coming to rest on what looks like a taxiway. Did she actually touch down first on the runway, or on another part of the airfield?

Thanks Jon. I have the chance of buying a Mk. 4E but don’t want to commit until sure its compatible with the Wyvern.!

Bog standard as far as I am aware. If there was a difference then would have a different part number. Fitted to Sea Hawks as well for whats its worth 🙂 Also Meatbox’s – pretty sure they also use SG’s as opposed to LG’s.

    Jon

Jon, what does the SG and LG stand for?

Yes possibly… but also due to the fact that TFC ‘governor’ Stephen Gray is i believe now only authorised to fly single engine types. But as that includes the Seafury and Bearcat i doubt if he will mind too much.!

Cees i’m not bashing Aeroplane, as i have bought the magazine as well. I’m just asking what other peoples experiences have been with it when sending in personal photos.

Talking of the ‘Aeroplane’ has anyone else on here sent photos in for use on there readers section, then heard and recieved nothing? I sent in some of my late fathers 50’s/60’s airshow photos last september (2008) together with a contact letter.. all sent recorded delivery, and despite numerous phone calls and answer messages i have heard nothing from them..!?:(
