And I’ll get my actual atlas! Oops. Other side of Offa’s Dyke, isn’t it all Essex?

Beaufighters had the throttle on the left, so the brake lever needed to be on the right. You need brakes and throttle to taxi, brakes and gun button less so!

GokOne’s early Harrier grip was certainly an object of lust, it just looks beefier than the AC63720. Cockpitfest photo attached. Also attached a P1127 grip, from a big old ‘In the Cockpit’ book, very Gnatty.

Great photo, Enigma_loner. Ebay is still your best bet for grips. Hunter ones are sometimes around the £100 mark if you’re prepared to watch and wait. Aero jumbles also a good, available North and South but not much in the middle of the country.
Very nice yoke Darrell, amazing where Government surplus turns up! I wonder how much that cost us as taxpayers? Saw your Brooklands Retrojumble post. Well done on the Beaufort brake paddle. Having got the Blenheim example I gave up on a left hander, couldn’t be that lucky again. Is it from the same source? Must continue work on the mounting plates.

If thats a five barrel Coffman, does he wish to part with it to help the Whirlwind Fighter Project, the Whirly used one as a signal gun in the fuselage.

I’m pretty sure the five barrelled signal discharger was very different to a Coffman starter so probably not what the project is after.

Have been doing a bit of woodwork and primping to stand up the Scorpion stick and radar control. I have occasionally wondered (sad I know) if the hole in a B8 trigger was for a safety clip. The F89 column came with a pennant taped to it which seemed to fit. The acquisition of something new traditionally comes with a flurry of book and model buying of the represented type. Was pleased to find the attached illustration in a book which arrived today. Presumably a nuclear armed trigger needed an extra line of safety!

Going by the grip thread, you have it as co pilot Sycamore grip Tony, thought it looked familiar. Anything else appealing at War and Peace?

An enjoyable day but marred by cancellations. A pity they couldn’t find some replacements. The free display at Weston a couple of weeks ago had the Sea Vixen cancel and immediately replaced it with a Venom, a very fair exchange. There was also too much candy floss, fudge a trinketry on sale. Probably for the best in terms of bringing money home but disappointing on the book front after last year. Another historic which hasn’t been mentioned was the KC135 tanker, 58-0100. Twice the age of the crew!
