The cockpit shot and close up of the radio hatch surely can’t be a model. The detail is perfect even down to correct screws. Fetch me my sun cream and Panama hat.
The item on you’ve uploaded to the forum is weapons based as it has the waffenamt eagle stamp. Pneumatic gun controls? No idea of type though.
One paid for the other?
I’ve not got a map ref yet, unfortunately. I’d be in the car already, otherwise. It only pops up occasionally though.
Apparently covered up again but not completely destroyed by the Navy.
Not cheap, but the same has been offered at twice that price. Didn’t sell mind! I’ve just got one for less than half and am brimming with smug.
Thanks Ross, super quick! Was talking to bloke in a pub etc. who moored his boat near it and sent me a couple of pics. It’s disappeared again but there was on unmistakable Beau tail visible. Will check if I can post them.
I’m still after a couple of bits for a Navy Lynx panel. The VSI has proved more difficult to find than bits for a Mk1 Spitfire panel, which is surprising. The ‘cancel’ push button is 47mm hole to hole. Help much appreciated!
Also after a brake paddle for a Blenheim yoke but that really is pushing it!
An excellent day out Andy. Didn’t have time to eat a burger! Thanks so much for organising and looking forward to Staverton.
Lots of badly built models and government surplus but first actual bits came from Snowdonia in 1978. Anson N9855, Ffynnon Lloer on a family holiday. Had looked for a Mosquito the day before but found part of the roundle from a Vampire which came down nearby. Followed the same route a couple of years ago as a 30th anniversary trip and failed to find either aircraft a second time! There is a lot less of the Anson left now.

Thanks Dave and Hunter, an excellent id!

Thanks for the suggestions. The tubes are 68mm so I think the SNEB has it, but I can’t find a decent picture. The best I’ve found is peeking out here on the left a pointy one.

The frangible cover lives on top of a cupboard out of reach now. Bad children had dropped it over the head and shoulders of the smallest child in the class. The sight of him scuttling around the workshop, only his legs visible and with his peers slapping the cover cheered me for days. Now the Daily Mail would love that…
