Just a thought, if they lift Saturday and have to get to Cosford on Sunday, do you think they will have a little problem with the 50,000 going to the air show the same day???
Thanks for the update, keep up the good work
Dave
slight off topic but what do you think of Flickr now they have “tweaked” it. Your pictures are easier to view and admire on here than the new Flickr set up
These were on the USS Hornet at Alameda, the opposite side of the bay to San Fransico and a bit difficult to get to without a car and even if you did its hardly advertised or signed. We had to catch a ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf to Oakland, get off at the stop before, Alameda which is nothing more than a car park, call a taxi from a card posted on the back of the toilet block and hope he would turn up, which he did. The driver was from “Friendly Cabs” and fine with us but even he had trouble finding the carrier which is on the far side of the old Naval Air Station Oakland. From the time we caught the Ferry to arriving at the carrier took an hour and half but is well worth it, make sure you have a taxi number for when you leave!

F-4 J Phantom II, think this was the last F4 to take off from a carrier
and a few from below deck, not very good as i forget to change the settings to take into consideration the lights……
thought it was an Afgan Hound not a camel as it isnt a bi plane………………………………………………..
