thanks for the comments, took loads and cant compete with the flying shots so thought id try posting something a little different
not very good quality (and recently posted elsewhere on this site)

got the DVD and not a lot else, they could have sold anything at the show and people would have brought it. (thats a tip to OFMC)
a few quick scans direct from photos before i went digital and signed by Charlie Brown a few years after the event at Aeroventure Doncaster when he gave a talk about the flight down and back. If he ever does the talk again its worth going to, especially if you were there

we were in a cafe just below the Upper Barracca Gardens 7 years ago, if you ask me what stands out about all the airshows ive been to since 1978, seeing the Spit and Hurricane arrive at 18.00hrs over Grand Harbour is it.
Where were you Russ?
Odd that nothing has even been mentioned for this year.
It says
Private Supermarine Spitfire (x1) The Old Flying Machine Company Fighter Aircraft F, so an assumption that it is MH434.
The OFMC web site looks out of date so cant confirm
he did give an interesting chat over the PA Sat, Get well soon
was the last shot outside where the museum used to be?
she is in, approx 5 flypasts to burn fuel, then sent away as apparantly some one complained about the noise, after 10 min she was back and landed for the last time around 3pm
i miss pomp and circumstance that they used to play as the balbo formed up, bring it back for next year, oh and 3 B25s and 8 Mustangs…
cant remember the year but can remember 39
a few years ago we listened to Charlie give a talk about flying her (the spit) down to Malta and having to drop in to a small grass french airfield on the way (the reasons escape me know) but your picture reminded me of the way he descibed it
would have gone but was at Cosford, wonder if this was planned so to get extra flypasts? seems a bit odd when both event are close to each other
the one with a sharks mouth?
