I also think we should look at the display teams web site http://www.swiftteam.airshows.org.uk
As i stated in the first part of this thread “Was it as low as we thought or is it an illusion?” If you take that the aircraft wing on the ground could be say 6′ high and then add in the lie of the land and the foreshortening of the lens was it really that low ? Ive seen a simillar display at Little Gransden last year and from a different angle you would give a different opinion. The eye decieves and so does still cameras. Were we all fooled?
its good to laugh isnt it, ive laughed at quiet a few of these
SVAS and James i like those, keep them coming

RAF Reserve collection is at RAF Stafford or it used to be called RAF Stafford, believe that the Michael Beecham hanger at Cosford is for restoration only, there are stored airframes in some of the hangers there though.
The Science museums reserve collection is at Wroughton
Septic,
you must have been stood next to me or not far away (possibly in the press enclosure maybe?) by looking at the angle of the photos
ill dig them out, it might take a while though but i will do it. The only thing is that when she finally touched down she landed at the far end of the runway and where the public was you couldn’t actually see her land. I do have loads of the go arounds and the runs up and down the runway after. Please be patient and ill sort them and put them on here.
slightly against the flow but i was there when she flew in (after waiting all morning in the NAAFI waiting for the fog to clear and thinking that she wouldn’t show). When she had landed and and had got stuck in the mud while been towed in to the museums compound i got the crew to sign a Squadron Prints side profile of XL162. Only trouble is, I cant read the signatures now.
Any chance of a run down of who the crew were as the picture is now framed and is on my landing wall and as i go past it each day i would like to know ?
a few more shots from Boulton Paul for you

First time i ever met Paddy he was at a Aces High signing event in the old post office, sitting back in his chair with a cigarette in one hand which he had been smoking whilst in front of him was a sign saying ……….”No smoking” no one dared say anything to him, thats how i shall remember him.
If you get chance dig out his book, its not very long but you will laugh out loud.
