These were taken last May, so are a little out of date but thought that might be worth showing how far the nose has come on and also to be able to compare it to what it looks like now when you go back to Duxford

Went to both Little Gransden and Duxford and the P2s were different. Its funny how i made a comment to my partner at Gransden about not seeing any for ages and how nice it was to see one again, it may have even been as long ago as the late 1980’s or early 1990’s at North Weald the last time i saw one and then you see two different ones in a couple of months!

Pimpernel,
the helicopter flight was about 20 mins and went to the centre of the island, back to the coast then to the air field (in a large triangle) with Islas Helicopters. http://www.islas-helicopters.com

Doldrums
there were movements from the airfield every day, mostly banner towing. We stopped in Puerto Rico, the airfield is about 40 mins away going north. There was also other light aircraft movements so i must assume that there is a way to hire light aircraft. You can def fly with Procast who fly from the airfield. http://www.procast.es or Canary Sky, email canarysky@terra.es

I saw the other one on departure from the aircraft. from a distance it doesnt look in any better condition. The tail feathers are missing, the tyres are flat, the paints peeling and she sits at a funny angle. Sorry no pic
