A few shots from the begining of June (one of the underside of the Britannia). Sorry for the delay. Any one spot the crow in the pic of the Valiant?

Todays update on Cosford (Mon 290506).

The F111 and Valiant are parked outside the new hanger ready to be pushed inside and the Viscount now has all of its engines off. I would possibly suggest that there wont be any dismantling of the VC10 or BAC111 till after the airshow in a fortnight so as to not interfere with the market.

Just another thought, if the BA collection is been wound up what is going to hapen to these two?

Cheers, ordered my copy on that sunny ???????? very wet day at Duxford. I was standing in the Upper Barracas gardens when the pair came in over grand harbourd last September so another couple of weeks/months wont make any difference.

All i can say is that if you were not there you missed one of the best airshow/flypast moments that i have ever seen and i have been attending shows since ’78. If you werent there, buy this dvd.

Cosfords F111 is back outside again today (Mon 290506), not for much longer by the way it was parked outside the new hanger though.

Oag, cant remember seeing you but i was one of the idiots (may be the only idiot) that had pitched a red white and blue wind break on the crowd line outside the vehicle hall. My mrs and her freind were not very impressed with the weather so at one stage went back to the car and drunk 2 litres of wine in an hour then came back to me. Funny thing is thay didnt seem that bothered about the rain after that!!!!!!!!

As ive said earlier on this link i dont like the building, ill think it will date rather quicky and i also think it will be difficult to upgrade. Wish they had something sensible instead.

Thinking about it though would we rather have this building or leave the airframes outside to rot?

Keep it safe for the next few years and then get it up to Cosford.

OAG, think you or me must have been following each other as my shots seem to be near identical!
