    Had to explain to my mother, after she had read the article in the express and star that it was impossible for a Harrier to take visitors for a ride up and down the grass strip as it only has one seat……..never let the facts get in the way of a good news story eh?

    Might do indeed. What time is it open? Sure used to see you when helping out on the defiant at BP years ago. The An2, was that the blue one that took off with the guy sitting with his legs dangling out side the door way?

    Enjoyed the Abbots Bromley shows, didn’t Peter Holloway turn up in the Storch from OW that day with the 200+? Only live in Cannock so it was nice and close. Is Ken Broomfields strip still open at Baxterley after his passing?

    Not wishing to spread rumour and taken with a truck load of salt but someone asked me today if HG had been sold for development…………………………………

    Presumably the above is rubbish ??

    Been going to HG since 81, (have a look at my flickr stream for 1982 air show photos) shame as enjoyed this event as only down road, what about Tattenhill by Burton? Nearly the same as Tettenhill

    I visited a guy in Hinckley years ago (Flypast organised an air minded weekend or similiar) who major components in his house, engine, wheels etc and huge parts in his back garden all i think from Loughborough, any idea where that all went?

    Won’t fly. Runway to short to take off. Has been said enough times at their events. 655 is Owned by the family that own airfield, they have already said (last year) it will be scrapped. I am not been negative just repeating what is already out there

    Interesting this has come up, on the way back from Bruntingthorpes LPG shoot week before last it was noticeable how green the one side had become and that was in the dark around 19.30hrs so Id suggest something needs doing
