just when you thought it was safe to go out on the dispersal :p
Propstrike” Avro’s Finest- I have zero recollection of anything you did or did not contribute, but I do not understand the logic in starting a thread which, in essence, has no subject.”
Strange – cas got the point. Its called having a laugh.
Perhaps I should have used – smilies.
Any way, I got banned from the forum because someone didn’t like what I said. So much for airing a point of view. Thats why I started the thread, because I was P—-d off with people making assumptions that I havn’t got a clue as to what it takes to opperate historic aeroplanes. Those who made the comments may contact you and let you know what I said, you never know..
Propstrike,
No offence but why post?
Its a long story little friend, suffice to say, some people didn’t like the fact that I had a point of view, and also had the balls to stand by what I said.
If you make a comment on this forum, be prepared for both supportive and hostile replies. But most of all, if you’re not prepared to stand by what you say – don’t say it.
Gona miss the “Ganja Bus”.
All you Cat fans who bought a “Rasta hat” had better get your money back. : 😀
I take it from this that I’m not the only person who hates the word ‘Warbird’? Any aircraft used by the military ever is a warbird. But generally used by elitist people who think that aviation only ever existed between 1939 and 1945 and who have read one to many war stories / comics in there lives. Sorry just had to get that chip of my shoulder.
Its not a chip on your shoulder, its your opinion and I agree with it. I think you can still have those under president Blair. :diablo:
I visited BBMF on Tuesday at the end of a week’s holiday and it happened to be PA474’s 60th birthday! The Visitor Centre was decorated with balloons and there was even a cake positioned in front of the Lanc – I hope it tasted good?!
All the Flight except a Chipmunk was “home” (the Dakota was outside the hangar).
Happy belated 60th birthday to the “Black Bitch”
Best thing that could happen to it
For once in my life, I agree with DIGBY – Help.

Nooooooooooooooo would I 😀
Yes
I think you will find that is spare batteries for the GPS, .
I’ve got to get me a GPS if the batteries are that shape – :diablo:
Well,
I assume that due to a lack of response from anyone in the know at Duxford,
The good old Vasity will probably be left alone to degenerate to the point of being beyond economic repair.
Still, its not a WARBIRD is it. Warbird, what a pathetic description of an historic aeroplane. I suppose in this day and age we have to dum things down.
Warbird – shove it up your arse.
Good luck “Vickers Varsity” You’re going to need it.
I Princess had flown today but had tail wheel retraction problems. So we wait with baited breath.
Bolt it down,
Check your NOTAMS, There is a TRA and you need to keep clear. remember we have the Red Arrows too and you don’t want to be busting their airspace! (£3,000 at the last count!)
No, we don’t want to be flying in the same county as the “crop dusters” do we.
Thought that was a XII?
