Western European Countries are tiny in terms of area by comparison with the like of the URSS and China. With the sole exception of the UK Giuk mission (arguably) there was no mission for such a big beast in the West European Orbat´s in the eighties, they didnt need the range (and the associated cost) of something so big, thats why everyone and their dog bought the Viper or Hornet and not the Eagle, or the Tomcat (or the Mirage 4000).

Long range fighter is to support naval operations and escort bombers. Remember the size of ocean is not limited to the size of coastal length of country. There plenty of examples of abandoned armoured vehicles in Syria and Ukraine as they ran out of fuel.

Robots is to increase productivity to make more with less work force so that countries with aging population like Japan/Korea can still make products in sufficient quantities. You did not paid attention to the other part that I mentioned that UK is second largest market after Germany in EU. that itself is advantage for any manufacturer and that’s the reason why they are there at first place. try to comprehend the full sentences that I write.

Exports cheaper but imports more expensive JSR….not being blessed with many raw materials we haven’t already tapped we are quite dependent on imports.

These global firms don’t care about this exchange fluctuation. they buy raw materials at global level in bulk and they have hedges to deal with fluctuations. what they care is the quality of labor force (discipline), infrastructure (transport, Ports, Water resources, no financial controls) and R&D capability of university towns.
Water is the key resource not energy. once they make a product whether its Pharmaceutical or software/semiconductor it give them big leg up at global level to make big profits.
stock market is just multiplying that profits. here the connection to soverign wealth funds of Middleast and Asia come into play to boost up the market.

If there was no Soviet Union and the countries in Central Asia and Eastern EU under its yoke for 100 years than Turks backed by German would have spread Islamism. Russia want united EU under Germanic control. It means ownership of firms will be under Germany and rest of EU will provide labor. Germany will be the central point for energy distribution. There will be no more middlemen for gas transit. It will be Germany responsibility to control and discipline all EU countries.
