Certainly, but what could justify a policy that turned Ukraine into a place where only some parts of the country don’t hate Russia? At the end of the day Russia has paid a ridiculous price to keep Ukraine out of Nato, which was probably never more than a fantasy to begin with and could have been waylaid by far easier means.
that’s the point you still not understand what I wrote before. Russia will not have to pay rent for Crimea naval base. It will no longer subsidize gas to Ukraine. It will be built new pipeline routes to avoid paying rent to Ukraine. it gained few millions people that it can better organize, train, educated and more productive in Russian industrial and economic system under top down management.
What Ukranain thinks at this point is irrelevant. They cant live without EU and IMF funds. Practically same approach Russia applied to Syria. it does not matter what people on street think.

US and UAE diplomats: Russia has crucial role in solution to Syria crisis
I think the possibility get engines, missiles and weapons in the first place is the aim.
that you can get anyway if you have the money and trained people to operate them effectively.
USSR is flying with 55 years old bombers. I bet Finland and Sweden could rise the stardard of NATO considerably and thus it could become capable again …:)). Also we cannot join the Warzaw Pact as it does not exist.
old bombers give loiter time to newer missiles. why you have to join anything as alliance will decrease your capability. I bet if Sweden was in Nato it would have much smaller airforce and practically outdated. not that it matter now as trajectory of socio-political system is incapable of taking those tough decision.
NATO is more capable than Russia and in future even more so. Russia is already turning into backwards nation but then again becoming a North Korea II seems to be Tsar Putin’s master plan.
Alteast he checking the pre serial built prototypes and keenly follow weopon developments and deployment.
To judge from an official but closed briefing I had recently, Russia will find that NATO will be delivering a few surprises between now and 2025.
2025 is too far and even if decision is made it cannot be implemented to give surprise. The future of Europe will be decided in Middleast.
F-22 engines are very overweight that’s why the plane is heavy with tiny fuel capacity.
Finland is increasing training with United States… first with F-15’s and soon US is sending land forces for the very first time. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Finland Sweden join NATO before 2020.
so you are training on part time basis with 30 years old F-15s. Nato in 2020 will be far less capable and less important than what it has now.
So does this mean if 27 planes are cut its no big deal?
Lol
F-35 programme does not depend on 27 orders. there are far bigger forces in next 5 to 10 years that will impact it.
Its to provide leadership. Ukranians always need external help to manage there affairs. just look at there international cabinet that was created. even for banking the president put money externally.
Dat Death spiral
small orders don’t mean much to F-35 programme but it certainly accelerate closing down of other programmes. so there will be no backup for next 40 years.
cease fire is fine for now. because if you capture more areas it takes manpower to keep them safe. some wars are won by creating burdens for others.
another of Andrxx claim of super-duper Turkish Navy put to rest.

Erdogan, In Plea To NATO, Says Black Sea Has Become “Russian Lake
F-35 is huge programme it can’t survive on F-18 production rates. Denmark order is too small and likely spread over many years.
If Ukrainian has already shot down tu-154 than they are responsible as there technology hasn’t updated.
You can see this is Syria that Russia and it’s proxy are very disciplined they haven’t shot at coalition aircraft .
Transport can rarely reach that height considering Ukraine airspace limitations. Both tu-214r and MH-17 are twin engine identical.
This.
I stand by my earlier conviction that on the balance of the evidence the rebels shot MH17 down by accident in the belief it was a Ukrainian transport plane, and then panicked when they realised what had really been shot down. Then the Russian reaction shot themselves in the foot. I think they would have been better just either holding hands up and admitting the rebels did it or say nothing at all. The trouble came with the insistence that the Buk came from Russia. It’s an open secret that Russia is arming the rebels in some fashion (whether with eavy weaponry I’m not too convinced), but if Russia, instead of trying to prove the missile wasn’t shot from rebel territory just kept quiet I think they wouldn’t have backed themselves into a corner. Thing is they gave bellingcat and everyone else ammuntion with these stupid faked satellite photos.
OK, well that was a ramble but I suppose all I’m saying is I’m sceptical of all sides in this information war.
Ukranian transports does not fly at such altitude. so such belief is invalid. It is Tu-214R that is all the time in area. Ukranian were tracking this thing.
As I said wait for elections. Sochi and southern Russia sky line is buzzing with cranes. perfect place for exiles after the loot in Ukraine.
