The thing working against the defender is the idea that only 1 bombs needs to get through.

this approach wont work. All those bombers need air tankers for refueling. there can be a lot decoys and camo techniques that decrease the actual bomb to the target much less. diesel-electric subs that are much quieter and numerous than SSGN can effectively hit land and ships.

Don’t get confused between numbers for tracking and engagement, plenty of platforms can track large numbers of targets but only engage a small subset of them. Also Panstir missiles are command guided and there is a limit to the number that can be guided by radio comms at the same time.

A simple example. Each panstir has 12 missiles and 700 rounds of ammo per gun. For a battery of 6 panstir that is 72 missiles and 33600 rds of cannon ammo. The missile are effective only out to 12 nm and probably less than that against SDB style munitions while the gun is effective to 2nm. Wiki lists a maximum engagement of 10-12 targets in a minute per panstir, so probably at best 6 per 30 seconds per vehicle.

I don’t really know what to make of that comment. Russia showed the West that “enough was enough”… by gouging Ukraine? A country that was until 2013, the most Russophilic of all European states where the majority of even the pro-EU segment considered Russians their brethren. In the process, alienating ambivalent, if not friendly states in Europe, frightening its neighbours, including (thus far) non-allied Finland, and breathing a new life into NATO, an organisation that was increasingly being considering an irrelevant vestigial leftover from the Cold War.

A country that is bankrupt by forces of Globalization want to buy Stealth fighters. Just look at Nokia, steel and timber industry. US is the leader of Globalization where it can employ millions of Asians/Hispanic. EU simply cant compete with it. if EU even remotely try to match Russia military might by importing US weopons. there will be social and economic implosion.

Maybe being an outsider I have a skewed understanding of the real situation, but I always thought of Russia and Ukraine, as akin to US and UK (or maybe Canada). In that, despite a minor dispute every now and then, and a persistent tug from Europe, their foreign policies were mostly aligned, their industries deeply enmeshed, people-to-people relations extremely deep and an actual conflict between the two simply unthinkable.

Ukraine is too undisciplined/dysfunctional as country from 1991. the only way in 21st century it can be compitable with Russia economically is for Russia to take it over and completely retrain and retool the labor and system of governanace. otherwise Russia will continue to pluck the suitable labor.
