JSRRussia has been lately sending all sort of warnings to Finland but apparently it’s not working anymore. Before 2020 Russia is probably going to have another NATO country on it’s border.
by 2020 there will be lot less Nato countries. Turkey will implode as Arabs cant support its economics for that long when wars are permanent and internal population increasing. Norway will have used it Oil fund. and will not be able to fly its F-35. Canada airforce will belong to Museum. Russia will be uncontested in Arctic.

Finnish come the news about F-15’s visiting Finland for training (it come as a surprise to most parliament members) and yesterday it was revealed that 20 or so Strykers are going to visit Finland in next summer… these visits from US military are a clear messages to our eastern neighbor.
Apparently our military leaders don’t trust European cooperation very much.

and what about Turkish SAM units?
Turkish SAMs are short range. and unlikely can deal with long range Kh-31PMK. now the ground superiorty of Assad forces is such that they need less Airstrike but more airsurvellence from big radars of Flankers/Tu-214R. Assad forces does not need to go to close to the border. they are already effective. Its Turkey that need ground invasion and airstrikes otherwise the whole operation will wind up in total defeat. and than it will be Irak turn and than saudi liberation.

Electronic and software technology of Su-35 is very new. there is not much difference in budget when it is used for buidling focused core technologies. Putin Spend $55b on Olympics. i am sure in past 15 years. the most effective funds are spent on aviation.

If the shelling continues from the north, perhaps the Kurds should find a few abandoned Tochka launchers from the desert. It would make a nice counter-battery tool.
the reality is sinking now that even friendly press is writing negative. This war is beyond the technical and financial capacity of Turkey even with arab money. I am not sure they will publicly throw the towel.

There is no fighter with electronic scanning radar with long range in either Turkish or Saudi airforce at this point. There is is also lack of engine power to produce acceleration and altitude in class of Su-35.

But unlimited platforms with stealthy cruise missiles like diesel electric sub, compact ships or mobile TELs. What use they could have for Baltics, sure they don’t need the Estonian oil shale? From Estonian city Narva to St. Petersburg is about 150 km and from Finnish border only about 10 km more. And Putin knows enough not to mess with the Finns.
Both change in energy market and climate change is very favorable to Russia. it become largest agriculture exporter this year. It is EU that is need of foreign money and energy. Current low oil prices are hitting Western firms investment projects much harder and upcoming demographic binge in middleast is creating combustible mixture.

This is not 1945 generation. The wars in Irak and Afghanistan were not that effective despite very favorable environment. they are low intensity conflicts and still logistics were stretched to maximum that An-124/IL-76 need to be hired.
