You really showed him.
can he prove this with his aerodynamics calculation.
http://www.ruaviation.com/news/2015/8/14/3435/
He noted that MiG-35 will be “much more” maneuverable than MiG-29. Moreover, the fighter will be cheaper than Su fighters and it will be easier to operate.
Why is Andraxxus so hard for yours to accept?
The Su-35 is not the greatest at everything, can the F-16/15/18 achieve sometimes better performance at certain conditions, yes.
I would still sit the Su-35 any day over those fighters anyway. A long-range, huge-load carrying capability, and most powerful radar in weight class, while at simultaneously having incredible maneuvering thanks to TVC.
Su-35 is the lightest and longest range fighter with TVC at this point.
I took my data from flight manuals for F-15E and F-18E, which he dismiss as obsolete. In his world western aircraft get heavier as they age, and Russian aircraft got lighter and lighter However as I have no Su-35 T-50 J-20 manual those are from wiki. F-22 and F-35 are from USAF factbook IIRC.
F-15E manual from what year and F-18E manual from what year?. F-15K weighs 20 tons and F-15SA with AESA may weigh closer to 25 tons.
have you looked why western aircraft gained weight? they have those un realistic airframe lifes of 12000 to 16000 flight hours plus ability to lift 10 tons externally on small size airframes. plus lack of advanced material in construction. If airplane like EF ever implemented TVC it will weigh over 16 tons empty.
Su-30 in 1993 carried 8 tons and Su-35 in 2015 is rated at 8 tons. no need to unrealistically increase to 15 tons external load relative to airframe size.
Why he hates me is another story: When I am commenting about Su-35 or MiG-35 etc, I use Su-27 and MiG-29A flight manuals, use weight conversion formulae inside MiG-29 aerodynamic manual to count-in the extra weight, and linearly interpolate for extra thrust. In a sense, I treat Su-35S as a Su-27SK with 1500-2000kg extra weight, and 15% more thrust. As the end result is not always favourable to his “russia strong!!!” chestpounding, he desperately tries to dismiss every calculation I make
you dont know the weight and advenced FCS and material implementation. so all your calculations are invalid.
Hm, i thought it went like this: 30+30 for air force, then 12 for navy (out of possible plans for 50 more in total). now this 70 sounds like a contract instead of remaining 38.
I must say, if su35 ends up getting another 48 like rumored, that’ll be 96+142+20 (su30m2)+12 (new build su27sm3) – grand total of 270 flankers, basically completely replacing ALL legacy ex soviet flankers. That’d leave little to no room for pak-fa.
Is it then possible some regiments that were up till now operating su24 or mig29 will in the future cross over to su30sm? After all, if the navy replaced its su24 for su30sm, there is a precedent for it. of course, replacing mig29 would mean little to no room would be left for mig35.
edit: ah i see navy signed for 8 more su30sm two days ago. so that’s where 20 for navy comes for.
count on even more orders post 2016 with much higher production capacity. my predictions are getting correct and TR-1 is getting wrong.
May I ask where are these figures for the J-20 from ???
high unreliable data. F-15E lighter than F-18E. just the two engines of F-15E heavier than F-18E by 1500kg. plus F-15E is 9G fighter. F-18E is 7.6G. higher G fighter need heavier airframe. Plus F-15E is rated for higher External weights. Plus higher top speed fighter need stronger airframe.
T-50 is alot lighter than Su-35. its made of composites.
There are small number of advisers in Syria. They’ve been there forever. 1,000 is probably an absurd overestimate and its probably no more an a few hundred. What Assad is getting is stepped up deliveries of kit and especially command and control equipment. The stuff you see on those LPD’s is C3 vehicles — older gen but better than anything the Syrians have ever seen. It might make their arty somewhat more lethal and less of a Hail Mary.
there more than few thousands when you consider the embassy protection and Damascus/coastal areas are relatively better protected considering the level of terrorist threat.
The stories of Su-34’s s are almost certainly nonsense. The Israelis would have an embolism and would be screaming about it on every news channel. If I were Vlad I’d send over some Hell Ducks just to get some nice videos out of it, but alas they haven’t made me Czar of all the Commies yet.
Su-34 is only effective when its part of EW package supporting Tu-22M . Tu-22M give it flexibilty to strike north and south in syria in same mission as rebels will not know which flight is for which city untill last moment. this Turkish and Isreali will be communicating upto incoming raids. thats why communication jamming very important. this thing can disorganize the whole rebel moment.
I dont think its in Israel interest to make too much noise about it as wealthy Arabs have low opinion about Israel failure to stop Iran nuclear deal. Israel is suppose to control EU/US.
and if Russia decide to bomb and Israel make noise about it and not stop it than they will start asking there investments regarding israel.
Your living in the past. Russia will punch Middleast very hard in various ways indefinitely.
Russia has built very effective electronic and training capabilities and those capabilities are improving and very big market for exports.

“We are already providing Syria with fairly strong support with technology and the training of military servicemen,” the Russian president said.
my predictions is that combination of low oil prices, expensive western weopons and dysfunctional system of governance most of Middleast will decompose into tribes.
why would russia intervene?
they stand more to lose than gain if they did.
They stand to gain unlimited benefits by intervening. first thing is credibility. with credibility comes alot of contracts in the regions.
Turkey largest army in Nato now consumed in fighting kurds/Islamist and currency hit is so hard that Turkey will never be able to buy imported weopons on large scale. ultimately it will be thrown out from NATO as society will not be fit.
this is loss of confidence.

Hundreds of U.S. military families are urged to leave southern Turkey amid new concerns about safety, a defense official said Thursday
No J-8 and Q-5, but there was a formation of H-6Ks and a H-6 tanker. Other old airframes include KJ-2000 and KJ-200 AWACS, with Y-8GX notibly absent. PLAAF bombers and tankers were really showing their age against the backdrop.
There was no Y-20.
Ya right!

India does not have that many LCA to do fly past.
I was expecting swarms of UAVs in flight formation as this is light weight disposable part of aviation.
This has come up before. I can’t see Russia sending troops to Syria to fight ISIS?
they already there and you cant see them. they dont want US style publicity for airstrikes. There is enormous advantages of keeping Syrian president in power.
Russia is not interested in PD-14 for Il-214/MTA, why would they suddenly buy into it for PAK DA?
I assume that NK-32 equipping both PAK DA and Tu-160 is the only way to make resuming production of the engine viable. The airflow requirement for such an engine also makes sense of the in-wing intakes long rumoured for the aircraft: B-2 arrangement would not offer sufficient airflow.
MTA is near term project PAK-DA is long term project.
There another engine development in post 2020 phase. that will be time that real Russian economic will be booming due to climate change.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-01/russia-seeks-accord-on-new-wide-body-plane-with-china-this-year
The government is ready to fund the initial stage of the project, which will focus on the design of a new twin-aisle plane, Deputy Industry Minister Andrey Boginsky said in an interview near Moscow. The collaboration may later be expanded to include the development of an engine, he said.
i watched the parade. The UAV/UCAVs are carried on back of the truck rather in flight past. it shows how unreliable are these unmanned aircraft for flight formations.
20yrs from now J-20 will be the second-most numerous fifth gen design in existence (behind F-35*) with all niggling issues (propulsion, systems maturity, etc.) long since resolved whilst maintaining the advantages associated with a large airframe.
* Indeed, given that F-35 production will likely cease as soon as US 6th gen gets off the ground in early 2030s, whilst J-20 has the basic characteristics required to allow it to evolve to meet emerging threats and requirements, by the 2040s J-20 could well become the most produced 5th gen aircraft in history.
This will be even worse predictions than Brazil becoming military power. there will be only one 5G fighter that will continously in production and will out produce all other 5G fighters for next 40 years.
“Saying no to Uncle Sam”.
Don’t make me laugh. If that were the case then we’d have the oil contracts.
Oil contracts need upfront investments and with collapse in Oil prices in 2008-09. US companies may not be interested.
when you can get this kind of illogical statement even now. imagine his thinking back at the time.

Yeah, let’s ignore manuals with data drawn from flight testing.
he was using old manuals and extrapolating that Su-35/MIG-35 are not much different in flight characteristics from Su-27/MIG-29.
