I personally think Germany is the instigator of all this. Fuher Merkel wants to create a European Defence Force. The question is- does the UK and Turkey join this umbrella? Could this be what the EU has offered Turkey and the UK- a privileged partnership?

Germany wants create alliance with China under the guise of unifying EU. UK is irrelevant . It can’t offer anything to Turkey once pressure by US and some others.

Surreal, truly surreal argument. This is akin to a Chinese national claiming China has access to Apple proprietary technology because the IPhone is assembled there.

China perfectly cabable of making Apply look alike with similar performance and even better battery life with wider screen.

At the least they can extend the range of Turkey’s Short and Medium range Ballistic Missiles arsenal.

They can open new fronts during a war.

They can control sea lines of communication into and out of the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf.

Does Turkey has klibr and kh-xx class missiles systems on multiple plaforms that can destroy airbases?. One flight refuelling gives 7000km range to Su-34 with associated missile ranges over top of it. MIG31BM can lock targets well over 400km . This called real power projection capability . how going to airlift billistic missiles . ?

The very fact that the Kurds have no independent Kurdish State in Syria despite US and European support shows Turkey’s success. The very fact that Turkey has delayed Russia for 2 years using proxies alone supports my statement.

Kurd practically independent. The have independent army that West directly deal with it.

Turkey not engaging in a full scale war shows that Turkey is being very strategic rather than chest thumping.

Turkey just being stupid and you don’t want to admit it. Look All Arabs, Kurds and Israelis practically aligned against it. Turkey is now forced to look East.

And I can assure it won’t engage in any full-scale war for the foreseeable future. The AKP have only been in power for a decade and they have repaid Turkey’s debt to the IMF, quadtrippled Turkey’s GDP from $200 billion (GDP(PPP)) to $1.6 Trillion (GDP(PPP)) and transformed the Turkish Armed Forces from a force heavily reliant on Western Arms and munitions to a largely locally supplied Armed Force that has bases in 5 countries. Turkey is already positioned to become an energy hub and important oil and gas supplier for Europe. The transit fees alone will close Turkey’s account deficit.

Above-all, Turkey now has a vision and an action plan. Its aim is to create new export markets in Africa and China (under the Silk Road initiative) thereby reducing its reliance and dependence on the Western economies and become one of the Top 5 economies in the world within 40 years at most. New export markets not only means economic growth but it also means new geo-strategic interests and allies. Turkey no longer puts all its eggs into one basket (the West). Turkey is equidistant to everyone and has its own interests at the epicenter of its foreign policy. This is how Turkey will get ahead of all the others in the Middle East especially the Arab countries. Not through empty rhetoric, in-fighting, chest thumping or blockading neighbors but thinking about and planning for the future.

Turkey can’t get ahead of others that I can assure you . It’s open door policy of mixing immigration from various regions and it’s import based economics will tied it’s hands for dysfunctional decision making. It’s even obvious in Tank production .

You forgot Ivchenko-Progress of Ukraine. They have a huge range of Turbo-fans that do the job. See http://ivchenko-progress.com/?page_id=137&lang=en

you should quit posting random website. The question was about real 5G engine. even F119 has MTU in it which i not consider 5G engine. there are only two engine progammes in the world that are practically 100% domestic that is PAK-FA and PD14. All RR engines are cooperative projects. they havent demonstrated any resolve to make it 100% alone.

JSR, I said this before and I’ll say it now you have zero knowledge about Turkey and are relying on nationalistic Arab media for your information.

why i have to rely on Arab media to know that Turkey flies F-16. Arabs have built modern airforces with superior airdefence. which cannot be said about Turkey.

Turkey does not need a war or military might to rule that region. It’s intelligence networks have a great grasp on the region.

yup so much grasp on region that it has to fight endlessly kurds in various countries.

It has ruled the Middle East for in excess of 700 years and knows who hates who, who controls what etc.

it does not know anything thats why it make one mistake after another.

The Middle East essentially is still part of a feudal hierarchy that transcends national borders. Turkey merely needs to play chess with those feudal leaders and flood them with small arms. They will do the rest. You play down Turkey’s military but fail to realise the state of affairs in Syria and learn from the mistakes. Turkey is still standing and the Turks are going about their normal lives. We cannot say the same for Syria. All the countries you mention above in the Middle East are not stable internally to look externally.

Turkey does not know anything to play any game. All games it play blows up on its face. and you fail to realize that Russia lost two years fighting Turkish back groups in the North. Turkey should have joined Russia in begining so everyone could concentrate on rebels fighting in south or complete no flyzone for rest of middleeast.

You dismiss Turkey as irrelevant but fail to realise that the Turks have many bases in the region:

    Mogadishu, Somalia
    North Cyprus
    Dijibouti
    Bashiqa, Iraq
    Syria
    Qatar

those are completely ineffective bases. what can those bases do now?

Of course not. Hence why Turkey is developing a twin-engined air-superiority fighter and acquiring S-400’s.

that twin engine fighter can only come past 2040 and that I am generous . you relying on A400 and C130. there alot of things I can write about.

With regards to Qatar- open up a map. Turkey has no intentions of engaging in a war with every country that surrounds Qatar when it still has an alternative air corridor through Iran. This is what Washington wants so that Turkey is weakened- make no mistake- Washington wants to get rid of President Erdogan at all costs. Its the same game that was played by the US against Iran and Iraq (Saddam). Let others fight your battles. No matter how much pressure it faces, Turkey will not engage in any large scale war- it will however continue on its path of expanding & strengthening its economy, arming itself up to the teeth and open up new export markets. It will only commit to small scale operations on its borders in consultation with China and Russia to neutralise imminent threats such as the PKK & YPG.

that Erdogan is the most worthless leader. Now both Israeli and Arabs are united in opposing Turkey and they have alot more advanced western weopns and support. Didnot Israel slap that flotilla in 2010. so what kind of weopon purchased and operationally deployed past 2010 by Turkey that can challenge Israel?. Don’t bring those paper projects . Why create Syria mess when you can never reach Damascus . Jordan is right next door to it as Jordan has alot more western and Saudi support. The only way Turkey can redeem itself is by converting all it’s military into Russian systems . Than Russia will teach it I how to control black Sea and Mediterranean. unlimited Air and Sea embargoes .

It does not change fundamentally F-16 performance or AIM120. as Turkey is not rebuilding AIM120 with new propulsion and seeker or advanced material body for enhanced speed and range.
Egypt went with new MIG29 platform that physically outperform everything they have and every thing in the region. Egypt also went with Russia firms approach oil and gas development . Now no one is threatening them and they are much better position to squeeze money out of Saudi and Emiratis and ultimately deal with Israel . On other hand Turkey has to rely on Iran to rescue Qatar. Turkey ineffective airpower can’t stop Kurdish refrendum unless Iraq help it. On other hand Saudi airforce sent Yemen to stone age . you can see practically you are nothing .

A properly mobilized Turkish Army without Russia or US stopping them can go through one side of both Iraq and Syria and come out the other within 48 hours in proper war like situA properly mobilized Turkish Army without Russia or US stopping them can go through one side of both Iraq and Syria and come out the other within 48 hours in proper war like situationation

it seems you have no understanding of shortcoming of Turkey. Turkey with western weopons and training can never win a war in Middleast. it is not just the sophistication of weopon systems but sustainability and flexibility. Those small size AWACS /single engine fighter /light attack chopper of Turkey simply cant work. Egypt learned this thing and now they are going with Russian weopons.
I am sure Russia will learn about Brazil procurement.

    Cybersecurity
Russia’s Kaspersky Lab IT company has started developing special cybersecurity software on behalf of the Brazilian Defense Ministry and several banks

Turkey equiped with Russian systems will be alot greater power.

this incorrect. MIG busy with MIG29K/MIG29SMT/MIG29UPG/MIG29M2/MIG31BM projects with drones and prospective fighter and these are more aircraft than Dassualt or Saab Gripen/EF team handle at same time. MIG-35 just this year presented and will end test.
In one year of signing of contract MIG35 deliver.

Now the process is almost complete: we are at the final stage in the restructuring of the production. In 2016, we included the corporation Nizhny Novgorod Aircraft building plant “Sokol”, and in January 2017 he became a full work within company culture MiG: where do the restructuring of the mechanical equipment, reduce production time cycles in the final assembly shop, conduct testing of aircraft. It is implementing a number of large projects on modernization of our flight test facility in Lukhovitsy. We have introduced, perhaps, the best production of the composite, which is in the aviation industry, has launched a new galvanic production. On Kalyazin update machinery factory machinery equipment. For all these reasons, I believe that the planned financial results will be achieved in the next three years.

How long is the production cycle for a single machine?

    – Since the signing of the contract – a little more than a year. This, together with working and passing flight tests

And it seems like it is on: Turkey’s deployment of troops to Northern Syria has been confirmed. Mr. Putin is punishing Mr. Trump for the downing of the Syrian fighter.

Putin usually give first year to new US president before he make moves. Turkey with western weopon systems and training can’t succeed with out Russia but Russia can learn from Turkey about some systems.

yes with limited economic understanding you can put such example. Any Japan or German part used in Boeing money and technology end up in China. they have invested huge in China as they were the first to get richer from US. China business is extremely important for Germany to maintain it’s control of EU.

how exactly is Boeing profitable when more than 50% of its components built outside US and it need EXIM bank help.
These Boeing and Airbus are dinosours on financial/labor system when you look at there impact on government policies in EU/US which are not in the interest of those countries because some of the biggest/profitable customers are in Middleast and China. look at the big picture.

it already say 12% more power. but practically MIG-35 is much more powerfull plane than any of its competitors. it can short takeoff with 5.5 ton load from Carrier despite much larger airframe than Rafale with higher top speed and altitude.
