Had that Syrian L-39 was expected to attack, it would be shot down right after its take off from Rasin al Aboud, had such threat from Syrian Armed forces was considered to exist, that aircraft would probably be shelled at its hangar.

Syria has very credible airdefence and airforce. When they start using it even Israeli F-16 cant enter it and one of F-16 was declared crash.

OP was speaking in generalizations, the F-15 is one of the best in transonic acceleration. I would suspect the Typhoon, Su-35, F-22 have superior transonic acceleration similarly equipped.

I doubt that the Mig-31 is in the same league, different design drivers.

MIG31 weopon launch parameters are one Mach above the Flanker. I am sure with lighter avionics and higher thrust engines MIG31 will maintain that gap.
