It is not simplistic statement. It a simple fact period.
you are embrassing yourself with such simplistic statements. Does Su-35 range increase by 20% over Su-27SM when its fuel capacity increase by 20%?
Do you see the size different between Mig-35’s spine compared to Mig-29 ? , fuel is loaded there.
yup all fuel can be loaded there.
The same way F-16 block 60 can carry alot more fuel than F-16A without a tiny bit increase in wing area
block 60 does not carry more fuel than F-16A once you remove the CFTs.
Regarding wing station , Mig-35 wing has been strenghthen so 1 extra pair of AAM could be mounted near wing tip
its is the load capacity of individual stations including multiple racks. Each of the 5 wet stations of MIG-35 easily carries atleast 1500kg. it is redesigned from the ground up.
vague sentences with little to no information regarding actual capabilities
And the alleged supermaneuverable could simply mean post stall maneuver which came from TVC. Nothing about ITR or altitude really.
they surely know what they are talking about. infact no MIG35 has flown with TVC yet. and all the data from tests of MIG-29K and MIG29M is going into the super-duper plane called MIG35. the heavier MIG-29K is Mach 2 class fighter.
Because they are not actually obvious but rather your baseless assumptions
Yes Mig-35 carry more fuel than MIG29A, that why it has more range, no one arguing about that.
Similar top speed really nothing to talk about because at that speed it likely to be intake or placard limit rather than drag limit (which coincidentally same for F-35Aand F-35C, C version has much bigger wing, alot draggier, and heavier too.And F-35C even use the same engine. Yet despite all that, they have the same top speed). Now on to altitude, you haven’t post any chart to show that Mig-35 can reach the same altitude as Mig-29 let alone higher altitude. Given that Mig-35 is heavier but has the same wing area of 38m2, i dont see why it should be able to fly higher.
All the change from Mig29 to Mig-35 is not that much different from change between F-18C to F-18E
MIG-35 carries more fuel than MIG-29A so it has more range. such simplistic statement. didnt I said before person of limited technical understanding.
MIG-35 does have same wing area?.. another simplistic statement. where do you think all the internal volume for fuel and external load on 5 wet stations coming from.
you don’t need manual or graphs for some thing obvious.

It is fitted with a great targeting system, the acquisition range has been significantly increased. In addition, it is a super-maneuverable fighter … We must be proud of such aircraft. I think that not only Russian Ministry of Defense will purchase the jets, but also foreign countries,” Bondarev told at Rossiya-24 TV channel.
He noted that MiG-35 will be “much more” maneuverable than MiG-29. Moreover, the fighter will be cheaper than Su fighters and it will be easier to operate.
Great aircraft performance is its core capability.
http://www.ruaviation.com/news/2014/5/21/2331/
Great aircraft performance, state-of-the-art avionics, wide range of air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons and low operating costs make MiG-35 one of the world’s best fighters in its class. Another advantage is its commonality with the existing infrastructure created for operating MiG aircraft in Central Asia”, – the press-service added.
F-18E is late 1980s era aerodynamically deficient design that went into service in late 90s. its speed/altitude/ combat radius not much better than F-18C.
SPEAR can reach about 100 km, that is plenty of range for a stealth aircraft
that is your opinion not fact.
Why I have to explain the things that so obvious. It is understood that MIG35 carries 50℅ more fuel than MIG29A but it is much larger airframe and reinforced for 5 wet points with 10℅ more powerful engines and despite that it has identical top speed and much higher altitude and 50℅ more operational distance.
The changes are autonomous OAO to the N001 radar with MVK computer allowing A-G modes and terrain mapping. I don’t understand where the big freakin deal is, this improved N001 is still MUCH worse than N011M BARS installed on Su-30MKI/MKA/MKM or Su-30SM.
It’s the weight of avionics system. Su27sm MTOW increase by 3 tons but payload by 4 tons. 4000km range. Su30SM primary task is air to surface and c&c.
And that reason is international laws
Turkey ignore international law for ground invasion but it is obeying it for airstrikes. It is like talking from both sides. The reason is Russia have give them half permission. Syrians are free to shot them down.
I am referring to long range standoff air to surface weopons. not the small ones.
The key word is operational range of 1.5 times of MIG-29. It means more powerful engines , bigger area and more electronics have no impact on weight and aerodynamics. this called. technology improvement.
http://www.janes.com/article/58889/mig-35-pre-production-batch-to-start-flight-tests-soon
I have no doubt MIG35 will outperform F16 in all flight parameters with loaded weopons.
RVV-SD looks pretty much the same as Izd.170-1 (apart some IFF stuff?). I can’t see where that alleged difference in range and speed should come from.
The avionics of the Su-27SM is pretty much copied from Su-30MK2. Plus it adds one slim central display between the two MFDs. That’s all, no magic in there.
Brahmos also look same as oniks. Club and klibr also look same. avionics is not MFD. Su-30MK2 does not have dfbw nor radar changes to deal with extra range of R77-1. That is very specific changes done.
Mig-31 just posted the page from HAF manual above. Iam sure Andraxxus has those too.
JSM, MALD, JSOW-ER are all very small, they can fit inside F-35 weapon bay
Mig-35 can excess F-16 performance at high altitude because it has variable intake. But again something like flanker or Eagle? No chance
Do you have any charts for it?
higher T/W than what?
MIG-31BM posting HAF manual is worthless . It’s of a fighter with no AESA and IRST and it can barely hold 2.7tons of internal fuel. There is no idea about ew suite. MIG-35 is complete package over the top of MIG-29K. F-35 is quite fat plane too carry at most 2 missile. It will have carry missiles outside for saturated attack. There is reason TAF F-16 are avoiding Syrian MIG-29. Russia is giving them some leeway.
JSOW-ER, JSM has about 560 km range
JASSM-ER has 1000 km range
MALD has 920 km range
Range wise US cruise missiles tend to have better rangeIam sure he does, those data are available in flight manual. Even me have them
Did you just took the max launch altitude and speed of KH-31 then assuming that mig-35 can do that??? what if missiles was launch from su-27?
All available in manual
Andrxx does not have any data that’s why he escaped from discussion. You have to consider weight and drag penalty of missile before range. MIG-35 is designed for higher performance than Flanker. Look at its 19km altitude and that carrying heavier AESA radar. It has higher TWR due to minimum 15℅ composite by weight. Look at MIG-29K . It can lift with heaver loads than Su-33. F-16 simply no match for loaded performance of MIG-35.
Russia has no R-77s (Izd.170s) but they do have Izd.170-1s, which were not exported yet, to my knowledge.
That’s the point . R77-1 and R77sd can’t have same range and speed.
The higher acceleration of the SM result from using Salyut Al-31FM1 engines.. Plus the new-built Su-27SM3s have a strengthened airframe, with additional hardpoints and takeoff weight increased by 3,000 kg..
BTW, the Su-27SM was exported, three units (TS-2703-2705) are being operated by TNI-AU (Indonesia).
It’s lighter avionics and dfbw system on top of engines.. The range on playcard is 4000km.
Raero range for R-77 varies a lot depending on the source, from 5 to 80kms. The upgrades performed on the AIM-120 have been more thorough than in R-77-1. In the D version the range has been increased by 50% and a 2 way data link integrated.
I do think that nowadays the biggest advantage NATO fighters have over VKS is missile performance. This year we started seeing Su-35 with R-77, when NATO Air Forces integrated this type of missile in the mid 90s.
Those are export R-77 and R-77 MD figures it has nothing to do with Ruaf missile performance. remember Brahmos to India was exported for 20 years but its range was half what Russia has for its own missile.
Su-27SM has much higher acceleration and range than baseline Su-27. this will give you idea that Ruaf does not compromise on performance even on upgrading older paltforms. this is not for export in that configuration nor on website. Su-27SM3 is over the top of it and domestic Su-35 is beyond that. there is no way a missile launch for medium performance plan like F-16 can match MIG-35 or Su-27SM. MIG has declared flight altitude of 19km for MIG-35 and that is export.
http://www.sukhoi.org/eng/company/design/
Upgrading of the Su-27SM and Su-27UBThe programme to upgrade the Su-27 aircraft, the best aircraft in its class, undertaken at the request of the Ministry of Defence, will yield an aircraft with high-spec aerodynamic performance, avionics, control systems, etc.
exports would have been the same in either scenario.
the Mirage F.1 entered service in 1973, and in 1974 the F-16 which represented a new generation of fighters, first flew.
France had no choice but to make the Mirage 2000 to compete with the F-16.
so it seems Mirage F.1 was a mistake. They should have combined efford of F1 and M2K too produce much more versatile plane. France at the time have population barely 40m. they simply don’t have technical manpower to compete in manpower intensive industry like aerospace. and whats the point of that aircraft carrier or for independent military aerospace? that cannot be used without US permission. see Syria redline of 2013 when Obama disallowed every one else.
Still, it will be almost impossible to sell Rafale in Finland.
The cost of Rafale will be comparable to F-35, but F-35 will be much more capable; then there is also the political benefit of choosing a US brand.
political benefit of chosing US brand? The kind of cost of protection that US is going to impose on Middlestern allies that will have to initiate deep austerity and when Middleast is in austerity EU will be in even in deeper austerity. I will not be surprised if rest of EU impose EF/Rafale on Norway and rest of EU. it will become matter of survival.
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/gulf/2016/11/20/Kuwait-US-arms-deal-include-28-F-18-helicopters-worth-5-bln.html
Kuwait’s Minister of Defense Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah said his country’s arms deal with the United States includes only 28 F/A-18 fighter jets, worth $5 billion, local Al Rai newspaper reported him as saying on Sunday
rafale is like the pakfa.
small nose
your pics is not at same distance so you cant compare the width of nose. Its the width that matters. PAK-FA use two wheels in front. it is designed for heavier stuff
PAKFA is wide airframe. the radar starts after the white nose.
