F-35 will sell.. it doesn’t really fit the doctrine and structure of most users but being the only American-made alternative on the market has a quality on its own..

I am not referring to some theoretical possibility down the line for T-50. The difference between Flanker and F-16 is not just that Flanker can carry heavy haul to longer distances.
If Turkey want to gain trust of Russia for S400 and rest of business deals. It need to complete disband current Turkish airforce and rebuilt a new airforce with Russian aircraft, training and industrial chain. that will link up to Russian intelligence and survellence system. Only than it can defeat Kurds/Islamists. Current Turkish airforce is already much weaker than Israeli and Arab air forces.

Ankara has given Russia the go-ahead to use its Incirlik air base for operations in Syria, though no official request from Moscow to use the strategic military facility has been made, Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Saturday
Turkey opened Incirlik airbase to fight Daesh [Islamic State] terrorists. It is being used by the US and Qatar. Other nations might also wish to use the airbase, which the Germans are also now using,” Yildirim told reporters on Saturday according to the state-run Anadolu news agency.
