ouch….. Well done to the pilot for a safe return in breezy conditions and probably a lot going on in that cockpit to tax the concentration.
Excellent shots Brian, did you photo the Hurricane today, hearing it had a bird strike to deal with…..
I restored the Jet Provost T3 Cockpit section XN137 in the early 90’s. This was obtained from a scrap metal dealer in ottershaw. He had obtained XN137 from 1075 Sqn ATC,Camberley. The cockpit is now with Virtual Aerospace, Northampton and is used for training.
I asked the same question on the Military Aircraft thread, C-Seven replied with the following;
“As far as I know they are indeed to verify the geometry of the plane using vision devices.
Those dots disappear after a while and if they are there it means that the plane went out of production line not a long time ago.
If I’m not mistaken the 113-GT is the Rafale C n°141 equipped with the AESA and it’s a new one.”
Its amazing how much information is in a photograph, once you have time to study them you always find something lurking in one or two that get the little grey cells doing overtime…..
Post your other shots Growler, would love to see them.
Nice shots on Flicker Growler.
I was at Waddington on Sunday and can remember the Vulcans display was very impressive. One of its manoeuvres left me looking around at the people next to me for their reactions as I thought it exceptional.
lovely photos, very crisp and vivid, well done. Janie has to be my fav..
awesome, many thanks for that.
well done, quality of picture stands out a mile, well done.
Sorry if this insert drifts from your discussions so far about the Rafale but would like to ask the following question. After attending RIAT a couple of weeks ago I noticed some white dots all over the French aircraft. I have asked the same question on the photographic side of this forum with no joy. Does anyone know what the dots are for, are they like the ones that have wool attached and show flow data, or even a digital form of this….. photo attached. Sorry again if you think this dilutes your previous discussion on this excellent aircraft.
Great photos, you can get close to the action up there…..
Yeah, I’ve done a few roasts myself…. nice shots, wonderful weather.
Very sad news indeed.
Wow……
Hi, Brilliant photos, I also use the tank end but don’t get the quality that you have shown us, very well done…..
