Sounds interesting, and it does all make sense! ORK and JER are prodominatly leisure based routes so baby may increase the market if available on a B735 and FRA and CPH would ideally suite connections to the Star network and would be major coups for the airport.

There are no problems with easyJet.

I used to fly every week, twice a week with them, and they certainly do have their problems!

Not too bad, but i prefer the mainline operation to Cityhopper. The F50/70/100s do have great novelty value, but many of the 70s and 100s are looking tired inside now, and could do with a good spruce up, or even a deep clean may help!

Service is basic but decent, a sandwich, OJ, and mints, plus the usual selection of drinks offered on all the vast majority of european flights.

Although I do like the red tail on the aircraft that only say Jet2, the red tails on the aircraft that say Yorkshire and now Manchester, they look slightly odd. Also why does it say Yorkshire on the aircraft that are based at Leeds, If it says Manchester not Lancashire on the manchester based aircraft?

    1. Manchester Airport is actually in Cheshire,
    2. Jet2 Leeds wouldn’t have reflected the airports true name of Leeds/Bradford.

Cork had a rough year last year and the whole Jetmagic saga seemed to have stirred many operators into operating through there. For the moment LBA and MAN both have services there in the form of bmi and bmibaby. LBA in particular may at present have problems sustaining the 2 operators daily.

If we work on connecting the existing dots on the map I can see LBA-BUD/VLC/PSA/LGW working, or a MAN-BOH or BCN (comp on the BCN route tho).

The hertz aircraft is now looking in a real bad way with blue panels on the engines, cargo door and a white nose, with patchy yellow skin on the rest of the fuselage – hopefully they’ll remove it before 14th Dec as i would be rather embarressed in front of my mates if that pulled up to take us to Dublin!
