West Air Sweden operate the Fedex Paris CDG “hot standby” aircraft now from CDG, operating wherever fedex require them, whether it be due tech aircraft, excess freight or even to carry a small spare part for say an A310 or MD11 tech in europe. This is possably the most likely explanation, however i know there has been a lot of Fedex contract shuffles going on recently, Emerald lost the 2 standbys for CDG-VIE, CDG-PRG and also gained MXP-PSA.

Have used jet2 on several occasions, and have never failed to dissapoint! Great news – Ravenheats Citation G-RVHT which is Leeds based looks to have been a tad too small for their Venice trip!

G-OPFW is operated in “Skynet” Parcelforce colours,
G-BEJE used to be operated in “Skynet” Royal Mail colours, before her retirement in 1997. She was use dwidley in the early 1990s for royal mail advertising on TV.

Other customer aircraft of Emeralds include G-OSOE in Securicor Omega, G-BVOU in Lynx and G-ORAL in Reeds.

Brit World also used to have a Viscount in Parcelforce colours too…

But not at CDG! Lots of Cityjet examples based there, BA Citiexpress RJ100s, the odd Eurowings and Lufthansa Cityline examples, as well as more Air France liveryed examples courtesy of FlyBe.

I was surprised at how busy BHX was when i visited for my first time on a Sat in Junewith work – had a couple of hours there to potter around – great variety of stuff there! Was a shame Duo had ceised ops by then tho, and all the aircraft had dissapeared too. I had only managed to log two of them at MAN or a BHX divert day, but thats a differant story!!!

i had to get a trip on one, so i took a trip with buzz whilst they still had em last october, which was great. G-UKID both ways, which i think is now with cityjet, and if so i see almost daily at CDG!

Wow! Certainly some variety in there, and with the expansion of the ryanair operation it set to continue growing again!

I suppose they are about as Scottish an airline as Euromanx are Manx. Air Scotland appears to be only a booking agent chartering a foreign operated aircraft – similar to the Rossair euromanx operation.

TF-ATE was an aircraft i had the pleasure of jollying on several times in oct 2002, an ex JAL aircaft which at the time was operated by Air Atlanta out of Manchester. Must have been one of very few -100 pax aircraft flying at the time!

I am currently spending most weeks in Paris with work so spend many a day at CDG 6 excellent spotting, lots of variety, and most of the spotters i see here that are brits are usually daytrippers with EZY and alike.

CDG has several excellent viewing areas, the best of which is undoubtidly where thesaint has pointed out where with good binocs you can read off all the movements. Le Bourget is about 3-4 miles away which is where i am working out of, and is the biz-jet capital of europe. Anything from Beech 200 props to B777s/747s/707s/A340s and anything in between (esp 727s!). Well worth pooping down here for an hour on bus 350. Also Orly is to the south of the city and can be reached by train direct from CDG in under an hour. Hope its of use – i am certainly making the most of mly time here!!!
