Softland i know exactactly what you mean – i had seen a couple en-route to TFS and back in October 2002 on the flightdeck with Air Atlanta. On the TCAS you see soemthing on a converging heading and all you can see in the sky is a ploom to begin with (contrail viewed almost head on) and in next to no time you see something whizzing on bye!!!

For now i do actually have some photos from a jolly with a mate in the local area of Leeds/Bradford, but i now have 5 films of various photos to develop and have decided to get them put onto CD which will give me the oppertunity to share them with you all!

Heres some bits for you for the moment!

edit: Files are too large and i haven’t got time to resize – you can otherwise look at http://www.flightsimmer.rate-this.com/010504.htm – igonore the first few multiflight ones they are for a mate whos building an FS model of LBA.

I do agree with the comment the scheme looks slightly cluttered, but in this case as a one-off I can accept it – especially with the othe aircraft in the fleet looking so classy!

Craigston Tom, welcome onboard. I presume you are referring to a Jet2 aircraft that conducted a flapless approach a few weeks back. Now braking problems were encountered, but the aircraft used up a fair bit more of the runway to brake that is usualy for the B733srs.

They already operate ad-hoc cargo flights on thier ATR-42s and 146s. In fact I am pritty certain they have a couple of post office contracts, notably an ATR-42 on EDI-STN, and a 146 operation or of BRS on an evening on the QC a/c.

Good to see more loc-co competition in Spain, but as to weather they survive will be a differant matter. Using A320s as well by the looks of things!

Very differnat, but nethertheless very interesting! We must also not forget that after the fall of the iron curtain many bases formally occupied by the West were left totally abondoned, one example was RAF Ben****ers and its twin base Woodbridge in Suffolk where the american moved out lock stock and barrell!
