What do you mean “seems” to be airworthy! – I’ve had 4 sectors in that machine in the last 6 months, she was at EMA after having been broken out of the EMA-BOH mail run, and is currently operating on the EMA-IOM run!
G-BZZA and B no longer fly for Buzz – last time i looked BZZA was with Atraeus last summer (no doubt gone now) and BZZB is with Easyjet i think!

Mine would have to be the 737 as
easyJet use the 737-300/700s and Ryanair uses 737-200/800
also we get few BAe ATP with BA (ex-manx ) 😡 i miss those MANX and the erj 145 with BA (occasionly) we used to have Jetmagic to 😡
No ATPs currently operating through Liverpool at all at present! (This is all set to change whn Emerald comment pax services). They ceised ops a few weeks ago, and the ERJ used to come i 1x weekly on a Sunday JER flight, and now and again training, plus the old 2x daily Jetmagic services.
I would say other than the 737 srs that the A748 is the next most common by movements (all during the night) followed by FK50 (VLM), ATR42 (Euromanx), FK27 (Channex) and then possably the Metro which usually operated when the Vauxhall factory is having probs. They are hit and miss, some days there will be none of them, other days there will be 5 nightstoppers from the likes of Binair, Zorex and Aeronova!
For the TNT LGG run the primary operator is Atlantic with the L188 Electra which is based at the airport, but on a Friday night and Saterday mroning the BAe 146QTs of TNT provide an alternatve service.
Leeds/Bradford used to be Embraerville with 5x based units. we have now lost 2 of these aircraft, 1 has been replaced by F100, whilst the second is replaced by an Atlantic ATR-42 until the next F100 becomes available, and so by the summer should have 3x bmi F100s and 3x bmi E145s.
KLM Cityhopper add to the other F100 tally by using one unit on the Amsterdam run.
The main operator now is Jet2 of course with 6x based B733 units operating throughout Europe on lo-co runs, this would make the B733 the most common unit through movements i believe through LBA. ANother of the major B737srs users would have to be Air Europa who operate through here approx 4x weekly with the type, and Futura with a couple of weekly movements.
Boeing 757 movements at poresent are provided mainly through the based MYT unit, along with several BAL visits through the week. Aded to this other movements include A320srs occasionally on the LHR run, but mainly operating for Spanair and Iberworld on the sun-runs. During the summeer season its MD83s and T154s supplement the usual B737/A320/B752 srs, and the Britannia based unit is a B762 for the first couple of months of the season.
Eastern Airways are another based operator usually providing 2 based units, 1 being a JS41 an dthe other a JS32. These along with FlyBE with its Dash 8-Q400 Movements on the BHD run are the priamry operators of turboprop powered aircraft.
wow – what an amazing thread and insight into another side of aviation. This is the part of the world where aviaiton isn’t just a conveniance, its a nessecity to the life of the people who live there!
lol n/p
