i remember a V9-C being in at LBA a year or so back… in fact theres a picture of it here…

a V9-C is basically a DC-9-32 aircraft.
actually it was as said previously an internal competition. I think the reason that the came up with something so simple was the fact that Emerald ain’t a huge company, and i believe it was rumoured to cost around £25,000 per ATP (5 so far… more to come) for the repaint. Add to this the fleet of SD-360s that will be getting the repaint, and then some (pritty sure not all) of the 748s will be getting a new coat of paint the cost keeps creaping up and up…

Cool!Preston, have you still got that design I did kicking about?
yea think so matt – will look tomorrow!
great pics there – thanks for sharing!
btw the last B741 i went on (18 months ago) had a green tail! :p
yep thats it – the angle of the pic doesn’t do it any justice really – there is the same motife and EMERALD AIRWAYS on the forward fuselage. I have to agree with too much white to – once the ngineers get there hands on it it will be filthy. Will be moved to BLK later in the week. It was the winner of an internal competition and was actually designed by one of the pilots.
great pics – great topic! Thanks ever so much for those – i’ve spent many an hour watching them at places such as North Denes (nr Great Yarmouth, Humberside and Blackpool!
Indeed my first experiance in the avaition industry was with a hel operator!

LOL, fair enough mate, but it’s not a couple of years, it’s about 10 more months 😀
Fingers crossed mate! I know you know jobs aren’t there to walk into. A mate of mine came out of OATS approx 18 months ago, and had several jobs, incl working with me in Ops before he got the fone call from Monarch to go on the A320 courses. Sadly these got persponed and then cancelled so he is now back out looking! I know several like this and i hope you all get onto what you want after such a huge outlay both finacially and timewise!
[i]As I said I’ll be there both as a real world aviation professional with Oxford Aviation Training and as a sim enthusiast with my company EMAtch. [/B]
I thought professionals earned money out of their occupations 😉 – give it a couple of years mate and then you will be a pro!
Re: Re: TNT to fly tourists
[i]
As far as I am aware of, all of TNT’s fleets are ex Pax aircraft. I stand to be corrected. [/B]
Negative – TNT were the only operator of they QT (quiet trader)series of aircraft, and these are dedicated frt aircraft and as such would not be converted to pax use, i would think this more likely of the B733 series of aircraft they operate as this would seem the easiest option.
Interesting TNT were the launch cistomer of the QT series of aircraft an orginally ordered around 75 i believe, but only 19 were actually delivered. OO-TAU and OO-TAO both visited LPL overnight last night whilst i was there…
cheers for that link – might have to look into that one!
i was very chuffed to see OO-TCB in ACE a couple of years back just 10 days after their launch and i believe second flight into ACE at the time! 😀
Have any of the other forum members flown with this crowd before? I hear they are a pritty impressive set up and do keep watching their website for deals!
I would like to see a couple of perspectives if the monarch boys have been with them on a day trip yet?

They are a seperate company owned by Bath Travel who operate an aircraft on lease from European as far as i know – not part of the same company??
Why not start a new topic rather than bring a 3 year old one back up?? I think most people would have guessed European from you name and signature?
My thoughts were either an Atlantic Airlines Electra or even an Air Atlantique DC-6?
