Not something you see too often – an engine at Idle/Shutdown, or a 707 (or derivative) anymore!
I only saw for the second time last friday an aircraft land with an engine shut down in flight – G-LOFD L188 Electra of Atlantic Airlines at LPL in fro LGG!

With all the fake images that appear now on this site it really is hard to tell what is news and whats just a fake. With the flag being the “Wrong” way around and the reg looking quite blurred something didn’t look natural to me, in fact still doesn’t!
Sorry to offend anyone!

a late addition…
not too bad… on the Subject of SEN our ATP G-JEMC was flown to SEN last monday for repainting in the new Emerald colours – Emerald / FlyJem.com – should be out in the next week – poss Mon/Tues!
Also is that our old shed in the background – G-SSWP that flew for us?
great pics… if only i had a scanner 🙁
Titan also carry Liverpool FC on some of their longer European trips, such as this week to Bulgaria. Scot Airways do most of their short domestic flights. G-ZAPM was the aircraft this week.
ditto! – next step in the chain is your command in one! Virgin A340 Captain is certainly an impressive title!
Jeanski, when you say crews could start on the ARJ how did this work? As far as i knew DAT were a seperate company entirely to Sabena and hence crews would be hired seperatly? I’m just curious as to how close there two companies actually were and if DAT were so close to SABENA howcome they didn’t get dragged down into the same financial ruin that SABENA did? Were they a subsidery company, or as Schriner did, operate under the SABENA banner (DHC-8s of Schriner operated into many UK airfields under the SABENA banner).
Commercially i have to agree with concorde as in compasison the money spent on concorde, relatively speaking compared to the Mercure for the numbers of models built must have been financially horrific, and i’m not going to even start on the Brabazon!!!
BTW Sandy – where the hell did you get that snippit about the Mercure having to refuel between CDG and LHR? It would never have lasted in service until circa 1995 if it couldn’t handle that!
thats in Knaresborough flying a Boeing 737-200 sim, they also have an F-4 Phantom i believe.
in Dec 2000 i think it was LBA had the Uzbekistan B763 divert in from BHX on a very snowy day!

is the list of football charters out of Cardiff on the returns this evening – looks like Eastern have done well!
never been to LCY – Hopefully one day i will (preferably by air!)
D-CPRX, This aircraft is 95% of the time the team aircraft for Liverpool FC to their away matches – any ideas why this one in particular? Special VIP interior or anything?
our 748s had no probs into ABZ, and they seemed to be doing a good job as on both Weds and Thurs they had the runway swept and open in time for are arrival (first of the day i believe) – unlike the IOM!
